Very informative and easy to read instruction's with photos.

This "Ultimate Guide" is a good edition for basic wiring instruction. 80% is current or has not changed greatly. However it's 2018 edition and too many things have changed. No Info on LED type lighting. No current info on AFCI Outlets or Combo AFCI/GFCI ect. (there is old info on AFCI Breakers) EVERY new guide published is outdated as soon as it's written, I understand that. The great thing about this book is its BASIC and easy to understand. I would recommend it for a home owner that wants to understand the fundamentals. Most everything else can be found on the web!

This book has been a great benefit understanding the wiring of my home. Before any home project I read and comprehend how to handle a task.

I've been doing odd project around the house for about a year, but always asking someone else if they could provide advice. The last guy said to get this book. It's been great and my first project is already done.

If you need to learn how to perform your own home wiring safely and by the code, this book is for you! I've been a homeowner for five years and had done small jobs myself, but I wanted to learn more and grow my confidence. I've now overhauled several circuits in my old home (goodbye, knob and tube), and just today passed a state inspection for a completely new outbuilding my wife and I added to our property and wired from scratch (including both a load center and new service entrance). The explanations are clear and the illustrations are perfect, especially when you're actually performing the work. Even my inspector, who saw the book during his walkthrough, stopped and said, "That's a good book."

Very impressed with the book, have done electrical work for nearly 40 years. Brushing up my skills for an upcoming project. This is an awesome book and I highly recommend it and that why I gave it FIVE stars. My only complaint was how it was shipped. It was rammed down in the bubble wrap and the top cover and several pages were bent very badly. I attempted to straighten them as much as possible, but this will be an eyesore every time I read it. Due only to the shipping side, I give it one star.

I thought this would be the end-all home wiring book. I was wrong. Lots of nice pictures but need more wiring diagrams.
