I just finished this wonderful trilogy about a family living in the time of Christ and their interaction with Jesus of Nazareth. It's a educational, historical, well-documented gripping masterpiece. The story is well-woven, with end notes after each chapter giving historical insight, references and letting the reader know what is historical and what is a literary device. It's true to the New Testament account of Christ's teachings, while adding in a fictional family with their friends who have a variety of reactions to this new preacher Who is he? Is He the Messiah? Belief has consequences. It answered many questions I had, like how could the crowds adore him one day and then call for his crucifixion the next day. How and why did some of the leaders of the Jews bring this execution to pass - against their own laws?? I love historical novels that bring history to life and teach the reader. This author exceeds expectations. I feel closer to our Savior Jesus Christ after reading this again.

I bought the first book, Fishers of Men at a thrift shop, bought the next two books here. I read each book in about a day or so, about 1700 pages in 3 days. I couldn't stop reading, nor the occasional crying. It is the best I have ever read. Unlike Lord of the Rings, no part is dull nor dreary. Unparrelaed writing, imagery and power. Thank you, Mr Lund.

I bought this book for my husband I am sure he enjoyed it along with the other series.

I love this series - in fact I have the CD's - they are on my Kindle and I purchased the books. I have learned so much from this series and have told most all of my friends they should read this series. I have lent out the CD's to a busy young mother that doesn't have time to sit down and read.I wish Gerald N Lund would write a book on what happened to Mary Magdalen after Jesus returned to his Father. I believe she was his wife and wonder if she was with child.

I read all the reviews but I purchased the Audible Book 2 anyways. I wish now I hadn't. The narrator skips words or reads something completely different. In one short sentence alone,He left out two very important words! He also takes long pauses between paragraphs. Definitely feel ripped off. My purchase was $13.99 but it really belongs in the discount bin at $.99. Please read previous reviews in addition to this one.

A great big thank you to Goodwill for shipping me my books with tender loving care!! And I would like to praise the book author Gerald Lund for an outstanding job. Kingdom Crown Series is an amazing Chronological event of our Beloved Brother Jesus Christ. Gerald Lund has done an amazing job bringing the Characters in the Holy Bible to life. It's a MUST read.
