This was a gift. As described by the supplier

although thier were loose hairs it is still a good product for the price.
good weight, and great price. took rosin well. only thing it did have several loose hairs not connected from one end or the other but it still held up well and makes good sound after i removed the loose hairs.

Great value. Good hair.
Shipping was faster than expected. For the price, this is a really great value. The hair was of sufficient quantity (It's held up very well over the last two months) and the bow is straight. This is more than can be said of the more expensive bows I've purchased here. I wish that the bow had a little bit more bend and that the hair had a bit fewer cross hairs, but then I would expect to paying much more. As it was this is far better than I expected. I would order this again.

Good bow
Simple bow. I purchased this as a prop for a film role and it tightens and loosens properly. Can play on an average violin without harm. Quality is sufficient for the price. Great for a beginner or new learner, or a violinist who's been away for some time!

Wow 8 bows?
Seems to be an ok bow but they sent me 8 bows not just 1... How do I return them?

Terrible quality!
I was shocked by the condition of this violin bow. Right out of the plastic bag, several hairs were broken and flying around. Next I couldn't believe how sparce the rest of the bow hairs were. You can literally see through them where huge gaps are. Finally, the cheap metal on the frog is broken and has sharp edges on it. I am returning the bow and purchasing elsewhere.

Great Value!
I don't know what some folks expect from a $20 bow. This thing is AT LEAST $30 worth of bow. Wanted a back-up for the one that came with my entry fiddle and didn't want to spend much, because I suck at fiddle. This bow IMMEDIATELY improved my sound and control and I now suck less!

MORE FOR THOSE OVER 10 YEARS
The bow itself is half way decent, ... the horse hair on the other hand is brittle and breaks quite easily. This bow was purchased for our 6 year old grandson, and though he is hard on a bow, as he is still learning proper technique, the hair on this bow let us down. Within 3 weeks, he was asking me to re-hair the bow. I've done it in the past, ... many times, ... just makes me wonder if my time is worth what the expense of the bow is worth. I'm going to re-hair the bow with 2 pound mono-filament fishing line, ... give it a sanding so it can attract the rosin, ... and then consider a bit more expensive bow that might just last longer than a month.
