I bought a couple some years ago and just bought a couple more for my new puppy (the old ones are still fine, just wanted more). They wash well, truly protect whatever's underneath, and my dogs really like them.

I've had this for 4.5 years and just noticed a hole in one side of the blanket. Still waterproof as it's just the soft fabric and not the waterproof layer that was punctured, and it's been washed many times over the years. Its still as soft as when i first bought it. I (and my pets, both cats and dogs) love this blanket.The downsides and why I only gave 4 stars:The material makes you sweat when sitting on it for a whileIt's dual sided but the sides aren't connected except at the outer seams, so the middle waterproof layer then shifts and bunches sometimes. I bought a different mambe waterproof blanket with a more fleece like material and it doesn't do this.This blanket has saved my sofa many times from cats with urinary issues and I would definitely recommend it.

I won't lie I was very hesitant to purchase these... I mean would they really protect and do as promised...and the cost? The short answer is YES they do! I have a sweet male kitty named Malcolm who not only is a temperamental Siamese Himalayan mix but also has crystal issues which means that when he's having a flare up he'll urinate where he's most comfortable. In my case that has been on my furniture.... In the time that I've had him (4 years) I've had to replace a leather love seat, a super comfortable chair & a half and most recently a chaise lounge. I was at my wits end trying to find and keep standard mattress protectors on the furniture but even those had limitations and do even get me started on how unappealing everything looked when covered. I came across these blankets (this one and the silky soft throw as well) during a search and was doubtful... I made it point to read all the reviews and though what the heck.. it's the same amount I'd spend on something new at this point. I was very pleased with the look of the blankets when I received them... they are super soft, not heavy and very pretty. I had 2 worries.... 1 would they be uncomfortable and hold heat due to the waterproofing aspect and 2 would they indeed hold up to a Malcolm mess. I set one out on my couch and left the other in it's bag ready to return if need be. With in the first 24 hours I had my answers... While they do hold a little heat they are not uncomfortable to sit on which is major plus and 2 which is the big one.... YES they do protect against urine. My Mal had a bit of an accident which I discovered fairly soon ish and sure enough I was able to clean it with out having to worry about the furniture underneath. I have yet to see how it will hold up on one that occurs when I'm gone but for now I'm VERY pleased with this product.

For a couple of years I would buy tarps and shower curtains to shield my bed from cat puke. My cat is a puker. He has allergies. I think he's actually allergic to his own spit. He throws up a lot. Often watery puke. It wasn't just the inconvenience of having to remake the bed , sometimes hours after having made it, and needing to buy bedspreads that wouldn't stain, and putting towels over the pillows in case it leaked through, I worried about the puke sitting all day and sinking onto my mattress. (Is this tmi?)So, yeah, at night I'd peel off the two shower curtains I spent about $3.00 a week on shower curtains when the supermarket had the 2 for three dollar ones and more when they didn't. and $15.00 a month on painter's tarps because they'd rip the curtains with their claws and be far less moisture proof. And instead of making my bed in the morning and coming home to an inviting bed, I came home to a bed covered in vinyl.I saw this blanket and thought, if that works, it could be great. When a family member asked what I wanted for a present, I asked for this blanket,. They got me the one in grey and white. It was soft and silky and just delicious. It was also truly waterproof. No more shower curtains. I had a bed like a real person again.Full disclosure, it does cover a queen bed, but only just, so if the cat moves part of the blanket, or throws up on the side of the bed, there are spaces left uncovered. To that end I got a second blanket. The one I'd gotten in gray and white wasn't available, so I got this one, It would be better if they were the same color, but I can cover the one side of the mattress and bring it almost to cover the other side which is protected by the other blanket.So, it was an expensive endeavor, but figure I was spending almost $30 a month so it will be recouped quickly.They wash beautifully. They feel wonderful. They look great. They made my bed nice again.

We have been using these for about a year and they wash and reuse so well. Still as soft as when we first used them. They soak up any liquids and nothing comes through the other side. Someone asked if you could use them for intimacy and you can. They are amazing blankets.

I bought this throw because my cat started to pee on my bed. I'd already purchased a waterproof mattress pad, but I wanted something for the top of the bed to protect the blankets. I was truly surprised at how beautiful and how very soft this throw is. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's a lovely grayish blue color with subtle leaf designs all over it. Both sides are the same design, but one side is a little darker. It doesn't look at all like a pee-pee blanket ! It looks like a really nice throw that you would use on your sofa or bed. I tested it by pouring a quarter cup of water on it and letting it sit overnight. The next day the water had not been absorbed at all and was still in a puddle where I had poured it. When liquid comes in contact with the fabric it just balls up and rolls around like mercury does when you break a thermometer. I also smooshed the water and rubbed it down into the fabric to see if it would soak through, but it didnt. I haven't washed it yet, but it seems very sturdy and well made. It doesn't sound crunchy either. In fact, my cat stopped peeing on my bed, but I've left the throw on it because it looks so nice. It's a lovely, well made and functional protective throw that every animal lover or parent with a baby should own!

Excellent cover for the couch or car seat

Finally a pet blanket that is waterproof like it says! I bought these for all of my furniture. One of my aging cats occasionally has some flare ups of a urinary problem and these blankets have definitely protected my furniture. They’re expensive, but worth it. I highly recommend this product!

Very soft and waterproof. This throw is perfect for puppies. I do recommend this blanket.
