Good product, but make sure you have a clear view.
Good solid product with right size, has two magnets on the base: one to hold de mirror to the base and one to hold the base to a metal part on for example your machine. The base can also just be placed on the kitchen table.Have in mind, I brew espresso right in my cup, on a scale. That easily takes away the view on the botten of the filter. I suggest using this combined with a small cup or shotglass to be able to see the output via the mirror.

Works pretty darn well, but relatively unstable if you try to push the angle a bit.
So this espresso shot mirror works pretty darn well, but relatively unstable if you try to push the angle a bit. While I like the flexibility of the ball-mounted joint, it is easy to knock it off-balance if you push the angle more. It'd be nice if the base is bigger so this is more stable.

clear sharp image, easy to position, out of the way
plenty large enough mirror to give a good view of the grouphead from the corner of a full size machine, yet small enough to not get in the way on your drip tray. The simple magnet assembly makes it easy to remove and set aside if it's in your way somehow. But I'm finding it's not in the way at all. The mirrored disc is held (securely) by magnet to the base so you can slip it off to clean and wash in case you get a channelling spray that spatters it. But that's what the mirror is for, to help dial in and reduce channelling and enjoy getting good shots.I like the classic simple approach to espresso and wanted to resist getting every trendy tool. But either I need to watch the shot forming because I'm dialing in, or I just want to watch it. It's one of the pleasures of making espresso at home. I learned from comparing espresso tools that Normcore's offerings must be designed by people who make espresso, because they seem to have thought about what you need, why, and how it should work. They don't seem to be just copying something someone else is making. They keep it simple and give good value that way, but each Normcore tool is a clean design with good quality finishings and no-frills simplicity.

For the espresso enthusiast
This has been a useful add to our rocket appartamento machine. It clings right to the outer steel shell and allows us to monitor the espresso consistency as we pull shots.Recommended if you are into pulling crafted espresso shots.

Chipped quickly
I’m happy with the product but disappointed that the edge of the mirror chipped in the first week.

Perfect for my set up. Beware of the protective film.
Please note that the mirror comes with a very thin protective film. I thought it was badly scratched, but it was the film. Once removed, the item was flawless. I have uploaded three images. The first one shows the protective film. The other two show the high-quality mirror after removing the protective film.

There's a film on the glass. Remove it.
I almost returned this mirror. It had a little smudge in the middle of the glass when I got it, and I took a paper towel and glass cleaner to it to clean it up. To my surprise, it looked like I'd taken sandpaper to it - the glass appeared completely scratched up. As I was about to put it back in the box and start a return, I thought "maybe there's a film on the glass?". Sure enough, that's what it was. They really should make it more apparent that there's a film that needs to be removed from it.Looking over the reviews, I was glad to see I was far from the only one that experienced this.

High quality
I am very impressed with the build quality. The mirror is detachable from the base, and both are well built and hefty. Unfortunately my machine (Lelit Elizabeth) does not have a magnetic grate, so it doesn't stick firmly. But the base is so heavy that it still works just fine.
