Crank It, Charge It, Survive the Apocalypse
I bought a 3 pack of these solar/crank-powered flashlights thinking, “Hey, this’ll be handy for camping.” What I didn’t realize is that I was preparing for the inevitable power-grid collapse, alien invasion, or my kids hiding the TV remote again. Let’s start with the crank feature. There’s something oddly satisfying about generating your own light like a squirrel on a mission. One minute of furious cranking gives you enough light to regret not hitting the gym more. Great arm workout. Terrible for stealth operations unless you want to sound like you're winding up a jack-in-the-box of doom. Then there’s the solar panel, which is awesome—assuming you’re not stuck in a cave, a basement, or your introvert friend's windowless apartment. Leave it in the sun for a few hours and boom: clean, guilt-free, planet-loving flashlight power. They’re surprisingly durable too. Mine’s been dropped, kicked, rained on, and possibly used as a chew toy by the dog. Still works. Still cranks. Still makes me feel like a rugged, off-grid MacGyver every time I use it. Final verdict: Whether you’re hiking, surviving a blackout, or just trying to find the snacks you dropped behind the couch—these flashlights deliver. And they do it with zero batteries, a bit of elbow grease, and just enough sass to make you feel like a hero in your own disaster movie. Rating: 4.5/5 – Crank it like it’s 1999.

Good value but Know what you are getting
Good value, lightweight, small and easy to pack away for an emergency. Be aware of what this is: It is mainly a flashlight that can be hand cranked or charged a bit by full sun BUT the battery is pretty small and the light won’t last long. If you need a longer lasting flashlight you’ll want one with a larger battery capacity (or that runs on replaceable batteries) What these are good for is to have somewhere that you won’t remember to replace the batteries in them or don’t want to carry batteries. Or a place you may just need light occasionally for a few minutes like near your breaker box or a car glove box, an emergency evacuation kit, or a backup backup light in your house. Maybe in your bedside table so that if power goes out you can find your way from bed to your emergency stash cabinet. You can crank it for a few minutes and then get about 15 minutes of ok (but not super bright) light from it. May be good for kids in a power outage to have something to do, or to keep somewhere ti give you a little light once in a while to see what’s going on or find your way to your breaker or generator or your cabinet of emergency candles or something. You could read a map by it, or see the controls on your generator as you start it up. They are so cheap you could also keep some on hand to share with neighbors during an emergency.

Never needs batteries
I always carry a flashlight in my car, but don't often remember to replace the batteries, so, many times when I need to use it, the batteries are dead. I generally don't need super bright light or long lasting light, just enough light to check something. I bought these to have a dependable backup light source that would always work. They have a solar charging panel built-in and a hand crank to work when all else fails. I've tried both and they work great! Nice to know I'll always have a working flashlight whenever I need one. In an emergency crisis you could always charge them by sunlight during the day and hand crank them if that wasn't enough. Very inexpensive, but the quality seems pretty good, especially for the price. And at the price you can afford to own a couple of sets.

Piece of mind
Love these flashlights and ordered more to send to family members! Easy to use, small enough to fit in purse or pocket to keep handy when bad weather/power outages are forecast.

Perfect for emergencies!
I was pleasantly surprised with this little pack of flashlights. I plan on using them for emergencies in addition to my battery operated flashlights and lanterns. They are small but have a bright LED light, which is charged through hand-cranking and solar. They also have a carabiner type hook to attach it to bags, etc. I appreciate these lights, as you never know when you might run out of batteries!

Would buy again!
These flashlights are great! We purchased these as gifts to send off to kids in other countries for Christmas. Not knowing if the kids had access to batteries we thought these would fit the bill well. After opening our kids wanted them as well and played with the one we had left over. They were quick to charge up and easy to operate.
