Reviews Are Misleading...
I read all of the reviews for this, but decided to go ahead and buy it anyway. (It was only $1.95) I wanted a guitar game but like a lot of people, can't afford the price tag on guitar hero. This game was nothing like they said. It took 3 tries for me to figure it out and I've already unlocked tons of songs. It's not as hard as everyone says, you just have to read the manual to see what you need to do. I recommend this to anyone. The only problem is the menu selection. You can't just point with the Wii Remote. You have to toggle with the nunchuck. It takes time and can be irritating. But overall I suggest getting this game!!

experience may be bad for new players but we have to come to ...
this is actually an innovative piece of gear. experience may be bad for new players but we have to come to terms with it just like your first real guitar.

Don't bother wasting your money or time on this one.
I thought this was going to be easier for us to use (an alternative to the guitar for Guitar Hero). The songs looked more my style and more appropriate for my kids (12, 9, and 7). However, the pause/home button is just in the worst spot possible, every note my son hit he was pausing the game and he's finished the easy level on GH. I realize I could just be spastic, but the grip was very uncomfortable for me to hold on to and changing notes was a lesson in futility unless I stared at my fingers. The "easy" setting jumped right into using 3 keys rather than warming up with just two like GH does. There was only one song to play initially, you have to unlock all the rest, and when my husband did finish the first song, he unlocked a new tour vehicle, but no new song. Very boring, and annoying if you don't like that song (which I wasn't really into). I intend to return this, or resell it if I can't. There's a bunch of other games my family can play that will actually be fun.

Difficult to play
My child and his friend played or should I say tried to play this game, and got frustrated with it very quickly. They both said it was to hard to keep up with. I don't recommend buying this game if your tolerance level is low : (

all items not included but game looks fun
My air guitar grips were not included. I wouldn't buy again. I asked for them to send the air guitar grips, but they want me to return the game and buy again. I don't feel like I should go through all of that trouble. They just need to send what I paid for.By the way.....The game looks very fun but I don't want to play it without the grips

Family Fun
I bought this for my Grandson age 11. He did not have as much fun with it as I did. The songs are not very interesting but the game is a hit during family game night

I love it!
Really, I can't compare this against Rock Band or Guitar Hero(I have never played either of them). And at first, I was having a lot of trouble getting anywhere with this game, I was hitting the buttons and the game just wasn't recognizing it. First, you have to remember to move the stick on the nunchuck as you hit the button on the remote. But, I was still having issues. Finally, I went into settings and discovered there is a left handed mode. Now, I am right handed, but once I switched it to this mode, I was hitting every note!(well, almost.) So, if you are having trouble getting a good score, try switching to left handed mode. I didn't have any trouble accidentally hitting the smaller buttons(home for example) but I did have some problems at first remembering which color corresponded with each finger(hard to look at the remote and the screen at the same time you know..) I have to add, I bought this game, clearanced at $20. That made it well worth it to buy it, and I am happy with my experience with it, plus I am much happier that I don't have to store a huge guitar! The plates that clip on are easy to get on and off(well, a little hard to get off, but not much, which is really what you want). I think, having played the game, that I would be satisfied with my buy even if it had been more expensive. It was just nice(and a big bonus, really) to find a cheap wii game that is very enjoyable!

what a waste of money
I purchased this game for a change from rockband, and something that the girls could do together. The buttons stick and the one won't fit on the new black wii controller so I would say don't even bother with it. Luckily it wasn't very expensive or I would be even more disappointed.
