The best gaming monitor in the budget range.
Price bought at: ₹9999Short review:If you are tight on budget and you want a high refresh rate monitor for gaming, this is the best in the segment.Model: VG240Y M3Go for it blind folded if you find a deal on this and anything less than 10k is fine for this.Long review:When my Acer Predator Helios 300 144hz inbuilt display started showing signs of slow death, I made a practical choice to add a bigger and faster display to the RTX2060 for smoother and immersive gaming. After thoughtfully checking out multiple monitors under 12k budget between 24inch and 27inch models, I found 24inch to be sweet spot for FHD resolution as this monitor will be put to use for work alongside gaming.Display density and pixelation are must have considerations while buying any monitor.I am glad I bought this.Let me list down the pros and cons I have experienced during the last 3 months of daily usage of this monitor.Pros:* High refresh rate (180hz).* Cost effective option (Though I bought it at ₹9999, during last GIF sale - early Oct 2024, it was sold for as low as ₹7800. That was a steal deal).* 3 input with 2 HDMI ports & 1 DP port which can be switched between with few clicks of physical buttons at the bottom right corner behind the monitor. I added external HDMI switch for faster and smoother input switching for my 2 laptop - 1 monitor setup.* Brand value.* Almost bezel less design.* IPS display.* HDR is so good that the colors and contrast is as great as inbuilt screen I got on my Acer Predator Helios 300 or even better I would say. Also the colors and contrast is close to what we see on Macbook pro. Though they are not comparable, when we use Macbook in clamshell mode, we won't notice a difference.Cons:* The power cable it came with has 16A plug while most electronics are operated on 6A-10A plugs so are the sockets in most power surge protector extension boxes. This had me buy a 16A-6A converter for ₹60 from local electricals store and eventually spend ₹350 to get a 6A plug cable to eliminate the need for the converter.* I wish there is a dedicated button for input switching between HDMI and DP ports.Thank you for taking time to read through the long review. I hope my review helped you in making a purchase decision. If I was helpful, please acknowledge by clicking helpful button under my review.Verdict:If you can't extend your budget beyond 10k, this is the best budget gaming monitor you can get. For FHD resolution, like experts say, 24inch is sweet spot. We can't go wrong with this.Go for it.

Great Performance and Vibrant Colors for Gaming and Beyond!
I’ve been using the Acer Nitro XV272U V3 for a few weeks now, and it’s been a solid upgrade in my gaming setup. Here’s what I love about it:Color Accuracy and Visuals: The color accuracy is impressive out of the box. The Delta E<1 rating and 95% DCI-P3 coverage really deliver on vibrant, true-to-life colors, which is perfect for gaming and photo editing. My games look so much richer compared to my previous monitor.Smooth Performance: With a 180Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response time, the performance is buttery smooth, even with high-paced action games. I haven’t noticed any lag or screen tearing. If you’re looking for something responsive for competitive gaming, this model doesn’t disappoint!Sturdy Build and Design: The monitor has a sturdy stand, and I found the adjustments for height and tilt easy to handle. It’s quite ergonomic, especially for long gaming sessions or workdays.A Few Drawbacks: The monitor is a bit bright out of the box, but lowering the brightness to around 75% made a big difference. Also, the lack of USB-C could be a limitation for those who rely on a single cable solution for power and video.Final Thoughts: Overall, this is a fantastic monitor for both gaming and creative work. The blend of high refresh rate and excellent color accuracy is hard to beat at this price point. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality performance and visuals!

Overall a good monitor for split screen setup
I bought this only for dual monitor setup for working on MS office with single laptop. The picture by picture (PBP) setup was not at all easy and I decided to return it initially. The pbp function was not working and Acer support desk did not know the solution. They even mentioned it's an optional feature and may not work which was a big surprise for me. After trying multiple tricks for 3 days I figured out that you need to disable Free Sync premium under Gaming settings in order to enable PIP/PBP.Cons-Speaker sounds very low if sound is priority. It has audio out to connect sound bar or headphones.OSD navigation is not user friendly, specially the button at back is a pain. Common in such monitors. You may face headache for initial few days if using curved monitor for the first time2 out of 4 ports are facing the stand and long pins may be difficult to plug in. I think this is common accross monitors. its 1 time activity.Pros-Nice viewing angle and color accuracy and brightness is perfectBudget friendly curved monitorYou can extend desktop screen and it acts as 2nd and 3rd monitor in PbP modeOverall a good purchase
