Great option
This Bluetooth transmitter has worked great with both Apple Airpods and Nothing Earbuds as well. Only downside is no hardware to adjust volume so you must use xbox menu to do so.

The audio lag is strong with this one
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me after reading the reviews and still hoping for a miracle? Shame on me. I really, really wanted this Bluetooth adapter to be the answer to my gaming comfort woes. My trusty over-ear behemoth starts feeling like a medieval torture device after a mere hour, and while earbuds are comfy, they do not work with our proprietary consoles. So, against the warnings of the reviews, I took the plunge. Gotta give it to them on aesthetics – plugged into my controller, this Bluetooth adapter looks slick. It's like they were designed to be soulmates. For a fleeting moment, I thought, 'Maybe my experience will be different!'Narrator: It was not different. The second I jumped into a game, the audio lag hit me like a rogue turtle shell in Mario Kart. We're talking a noticeable delay, somewhere between a quarter and half a second. That might not sound like much, but in the heat of battle, it's enough to throw off your entire rhythm. Swinging my virtual sword felt less heroic and more like bad dubbing in a low-budget action flick. The 'shwing' came after the slash. Immersion? Shattered. It's a fantastic concept that blends seamlessly with the controller. But the execution? Sadly lacking. It's like ordering a gourmet meal that arrives ten minutes after you've already finished eating. The potential is there, but the fundamental flaw makes it unusable for any kind of real-time gaming. Back to the over-ear vice grips, I guess. At least the sound and action sync up.

Overall, Good
Great product. Small, compact, light. No lag at all. Audio is loud and easy to pair, absolutely zero feedback while using. Game audio is true to time. Saving final star because I wish I could use my headset microphone instead of the built in one.

Great audio but mic isn't ideal.
Works great for Bluetooth headset audio! Sound quality was better than wired because there is no popping, crackling, or hearing the cable move. However, i don't use the mic ever so that feature was not important to me. The headset mic does not work via Bluetooth so if you plan to use the mic be aware that the mic is attached to the controller.Battery life on the controller will be reduced because the Bluetooth adapter uses power. I found it reduces battery life by about 30% which isn't bad.

Ignore the bad reviews
UPDATE 10/29/2024: I am returning as the mic quality is terrible. The connection to AirPods for sound works well, but the mic quality that is housed on the Skull & Co dongle is terrible, no one can hear you.I’ve had a great experience with the Skull & Co. Bluetooth Xbox adapter. From the start, it was super easy to set up, and I didn’t encounter any of the frustrations others mentioned in reviews. Pairing my AirPods with my Xbox Series X controller was straightforward, and everything connected smoothly. When it comes to performance, the audio quality is crisp—music and game sounds come through perfectly, without any noticeable lag or interference. I’ve read complaints about static, but in my case, I haven’t experienced any of that, which leads me to believe those negative reviews might come from people not setting it up correctly or using incompatible devices.I’m using this with a Series X controller, although I’m not entirely sure which generation it is—and it just works. Honestly, I feel like some of the bad reviews come from people who may not have followed the setup steps carefully or misunderstood how the adapter should be used. It’s doing exactly what I need it to, and I’m happy to recommend it to others looking for a reliable way to connect Bluetooth headphones to their Xbox controller.

Mediocre
I’m not sure how this has so many high ratings. Don’t get me wrong, it does “work” in the sense that it plugs into your controller and allows you to connect Bluetooth headphones. However, the biggest issue is that it only passes through stereo sound with NO support for surround sound. Yes, stereo is fine for headphones, but using DTS:X headphones or Dolby for headphones does not work right. It will only play the left and right channel so any virtualization done by the Xbox does not pass to the headphones so there is a lot of missing sounds. I thought there was something wrong with the device itself until I figured out why it didn’t sound great. I’m not sure why, either. I have a different Bluetooth transmitter that I use and it doesn’t have any issue at all. I was hoping that this would work since it is built to fit the controller, but instead I have to continue to use my Bluetooth transmitter that connects with a headphone cable. The other thing is that the sound quality is surprisingly not great.Overall, I ended up returning this. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Great solution for Xbox communications
After 2 weeks of searching and trying every solution for using bluetooth gaming earbuds with my Xbox series X console, this is the ONLY solution that actually worked! The unit fits nicely into the space between the two controller handles and it leaves a decent amount of space around the microphone opening so it is not blocked or muffled when in use. Other players say voice communication is clear. Setup was a breeze and everything worked just fine from the start. Unit appears to be of durable construction and I feel this was the best value and best working solution.

Works with AirPods Max
I got this to connect AirPods Max to my Xbox Series X, which inexplicably doesn’t have Bluetooth audio support. Press and hold the audio transparency/noise cancellation button for a few seconds, then hold the switch on this adapter in the Pair position for a few seconds, and they’ll find each other, though it took a couple tries. Sound quality is good, and the latency isn’t noticeable. I haven’t used and don’t plan to use any mics, though, so I can’t vouch for that quality.
