Good system wish I found it sooner
Works great easy to assemble wish I found it sooner. The pump is quite and more than strong enough I use mine at two thirds power. With a little soap or drop of oil the tubeing slides right in. I also put a small submersible pump inside and out lid for water testing and changing and a hole with a small funnel for return water.

Nice setup for a decent price
Set up works great Ive been using my set up for about a year with no issues Design is good my only complaint in Hose length it would be nice to be able to separate the buckets a little more Plant Growth is faster then in soil once you have your nutrient solution phd properly for what your growing the plants almost take care of themselves I ordered a second setup i liked my first so much! If you are thinking about trying DWC this is a great place to start I find the air pump to be quite and sufficient Price is decent and less than most other kits! Happy Growing

Robust Deep Water Culture for Serious Growers
The VEVOR DWC Hydroponic System promises a "5 Gallon 5 Buckets, Deep Water Culture Growing Bucket, Hydroponics Grow Kit with Pump, Air Stone and Connected Reservoir," designed for "Indoor/Outdoor Leafy Vegetables." I've rigorously tested this system, focusing on its construction, ease of setup, performance, and overall value for growers looking to scale up. Upon unboxing, the VEVOR DWC system immediately conveys a sense of industrial robustness. The 5-gallon buckets and connected reservoir are made from thick, opaque plastic (often black to prevent algae growth), which is crucial for DWC. All necessary components – air pump, air stones, airline tubing, net pots, and water level indicators – are included, suggesting a comprehensive kit. The modular design is apparent, hinting at flexibility in layout. Pros: Robust & Durable Construction: The buckets and reservoir are made from heavy-duty, food-grade, light-proof plastic (often black or dark grey), which is essential for preventing algae growth in the nutrient solution and ensuring system longevity. These components feel built to last. Highly Effective DWC Method: Deep Water Culture is known for its explosive growth rates and high yields, especially for leafy greens and many fruiting plants. This system delivers on that promise by providing roots with constant access to highly oxygenated nutrient solution, leading to rapid development. Complete Kit with Quality Components: The system includes virtually everything you need to get started: 5 Gallon Buckets: Ample space for large root systems. Air Pump & Air Stones: Essential for oxygenating the nutrient solution, critical for DWC. Net Pots: Securely hold your plants while allowing roots to reach the solution. Tubing & Connectors: For efficient air and water flow. Connected Reservoir: Simplifies nutrient management and refilling for all buckets. Connected Reservoir for Simplified Management: The central reservoir is a significant advantage. It allows you to mix and maintain your nutrient solution in one place, simplifying pH and EC adjustments, and reducing the need to individually manage each bucket. This saves time and ensures consistency across all plants. Water Level Indicators: The inclusion of clear water level indicators on each bucket is a simple yet incredibly useful feature, allowing for quick checks without disturbing the plants. Versatile for Indoor/Outdoor Use: The robust construction makes it suitable for both indoor (e.g., in a grow tent) and outdoor use (e.g., on a patio), provided it's protected from extreme elements and direct sunlight on the reservoir. Scalable & Modular: The connected bucket design means you can potentially expand the system by adding more buckets (if connectors are standard) or arrange them flexibly to fit your space. Strong Growth & High Yield Potential: For growers familiar with DWC, this system provides the foundation for achieving impressive growth rates and abundant harvests, particularly for plants like lettuce, kale, herbs, and even larger fruiting plants. Cons: Initial Setup Can Be Involved: While "kit" implies easy, assembling and properly configuring a DWC system, especially one with a connected reservoir, requires a bit more time and attention than simpler systems. Routing air lines and ensuring watertight connections takes effort. Maintenance Requires Attention: DWC systems require consistent monitoring of pH, EC, and water levels. While the reservoir simplifies this, it's not a set-it-and-forget-it system. Nutrient changes and periodic cleaning are essential. Pump Noise (Minor): The included air pump, while effective, might produce a noticeable hum, especially in a quiet indoor environment. Some growers might opt for a quieter aftermarket pump. No Grow Lights Included: This is a system for the hydroponic method itself; grow lights (essential for indoor growing) are not included and must be purchased separately. Plastic Tubing/Connectors (Longevity): While functional, closely monitor the plastic tubing and connectors over time for algae buildup or brittleness, which can necessitate replacement to prevent leaks or blockages. Overall Input & Verdict: The VEVOR DWC Hydroponic System with its 5-gallon, 5-bucket design and connected reservoir is an excellent, robust, and highly effective solution for growers looking to dive into or scale up their Deep Water Culture operations. It provides a complete, high-quality foundation for achieving impressive growth rates and yields. While it demands a bit more hands-on management and initial setup than some simpler systems, its durable construction, thoughtful components, and central reservoir simplify the process significantly. For intermediate to advanced growers seeking a reliable DWC kit for leafy greens or larger plants, this VEVOR system is a highly recommended and rewarding investment.

I like the setup .I just wish it had a drain plug .I'm not going to rate it lower for not having one because i knew it didn't have one before I purchased it .Other than that Its growing a beast .I forgot I like the water that keeps the top wet the bubbles from the bottom Update 1.20.26 2nd pic curing

Piece of JUNK!!!
The pump is a piece of junk! Went out less than a week into first grow. I was lazy, it is so much better to build your own and get a pump that’s 1000 times better for less than 20 bucks. Do not buy this one!
