UNPUTDOWNABLE
The history after the death of Alexander appeared a little bit shady to me for some time but not anymore after reading the wonderfully written series on Diadochi. The exuberant and lucid style of writing makes it a pleasant reading. I am looking forward to reading the fifth installment of the series and eagerly waiting for it for the very reason that being an Indian my interest is in the Maurya- Seleucid war that , I hope , the writer would describe with elan.

Great book but no gaps between paragraphs
Love the book. Great characters. I’ve read all of Fabbri’s books and this one doesn’t disappoint... eh except in the editing. Not full of spelling mistakes or anything, but there should be gaps between a lot of the paragraphs and there are none ... in the whole book. This is annoying and distracting. Eg“He raised his cup in a toast “To Neoptolemus and Eumenes both seeing sense””It was with deep regret that Antipatros recieved Eumenes refusal.A gap between paragraphs here is necessary or the reader just goes blundering into the future

Deeply-flawed
I was looking forward to this book as it covers a period in history that I know little about.I think the intention is good but the execution is deeply-flawed. The cast of characters is (too?) large and there's little attempt to help the reader through the maze. The map is pathetic.Worst of all, the book is boring. The dialogue is simplistic and, in places, quite embarrassing. The flow of the narrative is disjointed in places and I couldn't be bothered to go back and work out what had happened. So I gave up--which I hate doing. Not recommended.

Great read, but the formatting needs some work
A great enjoyable read, up to the very high standard of his previous books.Would have given it 5 stars apart from , as someone else has previously said, someone needs to work on the formatting. Probably not the author's fault but I lost count of the number of time I had to reread sections due to the lack of paragraphs to indicate jumps in time or location.Despite that I'm looking forward to the next installment

Awsome,
I have waited years for an Author to write the story of Alexander the Greats break up of his Empire. The wars, politics, the back stabbing. All come together in this volume. There are characters that are likable one minute and then found loathsome the next, every one fighting for their piece of Alexanders empire. Wonderful start to what I hope will be a long series.

Good bit of ancient history
The book was a bit slow and hard to digest at first and very political but it does give good insight to all the bodyguards and lead to the time scale of events. My only dislike was in this kindle version were theres a pause in the chapter there isn’t a space in between the writing so it just reads on until you realise it stopped there and this is a new view.
