Hamlyn Children's History of Britain: From the Stone Age to the Present Day

This book is a wonderful history of Britain for children. It contains much more coverage of historical events and tells a greater narrative story than many comparable history books available today, which seem to be mainly picture driven, with caption-sized paragraphs of text that would stretch the imagination and understanding of virtually no one. This book by Neil Grant is different. It is a book from the Old School of history, when history books for children were written well. It is a shame that it is no longer in print. Highly recommended if you can get your hands on a copy.I hope you find my review helpful.
