Tie Boss - 1/4 Inch, Medium Duty, (150 lbs Working Load Limit), Weather Resistant, Tie Down, Rope Tightening System, (w/15 ft Rope) (Pack of 1) (Blue)

After trying several other products that didn't meet my needs, I was surprised at how simple and effective the Tie Boss is to use. I was looking for a way to route my EV charging cable to the garage ceiling so that I could pull it up and out of the way when not in use to charge the car. The Tie Boss just works. If you can operate the cord on standard window blinds, you can use the Tie Boss. I expect it will hold up quite well even with repeated daily use.

Looks like a well made product with good quality 1/4" roping and heavy duty stainless hooks. Haven't tried it yet but it sure looks easier to use than my old ratcheting strap tie downs.

It's a unique product in that you can raise and lower from the ground. Some things to note. I tested it with my hobie outback (about 40lbs per end) and it works but takes considerable force to pull it. Normally a double or triple wrap around the hand to grip the rope (1/4" version). For this reason my wife cannot raise the boat. The 15' rope is just long enough to work in my garage. The tail end is about 6.5' off the ground when the boat is hooked up on the floor. I would need to replace the rope to put a pully underneath. I also tried a few of my accessory coords in it. My 5mm had to much streach work well. My 6mm coord worked good and was a little easier to pull than the included coord. The included coord seems to be a nylon outer with a braided inner. It holds it shape well and bits good in the cleat. The cleat itself is made out of nylon or some type of plastic so I'm not sure how it will hold up over time. That said for what they are they are a bit expensive. I wish there was a way to buy un bulk or order the rope in longer lengths.

Work great. Just be sure to secure the rope properly as it can come out of the catch pretty easily. I just wish I had gotten a bigger size. The little rope is hard on my hands.

Great addition to the bed of my F-150. Quick tiedowns are much easier.

’ve been using these for a few weeks and so far they perform really well. They do exactly what I needed, fit nicely, and feel solid in use. Installation was simple, and they serve their purpose perfectly. Pros: Easy to install and use Functions exactly as expected Clean, practical design Cons: Not sure how long they will hold up with heavy or repeated use Only time will tell if the materials last Bottom Line: These are a solid choice if you need something that works reliably in the short term. I’m giving 4 stars because they perform well now, but I’m curious to see how they hold up over the long haul.

I was so excited to buy this after seeing their flood of advertising on social media. When the 2 arrived I set them up to hang my kayak as shown in the ads and it was a huge failure. The devices are flimsy plastic, the teeth that bite the rope are plastic and do not hold 100lbs well - between the two devices its 50lbs each, so I was well within its advertised weight limit. The device slipped twice and the kayak dropped to the floor each time. Its advertised to hold more than 100 lbs. It does not work as shown on their kayak lift video. Also, trying to lift 100lb kayak with a 1/4" rope is hell on the hands. It may be great for securing things but I don't recommend it to lift heavier kayaks. I will be returning them and using a block and tackle with a tie off cleat.

Function as it should. Quality seems good. May be a bit overprice, time will tell.
