Q: Does this adhere to textured walls? Or can I mount it on the wall?

The base adheres to the wall and the light stick stays on with a magnet, which is pretty strong. You can take it off and charge it and for us it lasts for about a month before it needs to be rechanrged. It works great. We have 3 night lights and they all work great.

Q: Is the base magnetic or just the lamp?

I put it on my fridge and it stuck, so it appears that the magnet is in the AMP with a metal plate in the base. Hope this helps

Q: Can these lights be used/mounted outdoors where they are exposed to the elements (e.g. rain and direct sunlight/heat)?

The lights are intended for indoors as they are are not sealed for outdoor use. I purchased two of them and they work great. Hope this helps
