If you are buying this cool, DO NOT buy the other one from another seller that is a couple dollars less. This could has the 4 mounting holes just as the OEM does, you choose which 2 you need. The cheaper one shows this coil, with 4 holes, but I bought it first and that coil only has 2 mounting holes and was useless to me. Other part Cost time, install modification attempt and hassle, chance to mess up my electrical, and more down time. Anyway.....so far so good and fits exactly like the original.

My 12 year old gas powered pressure washer was a little tired this season. The Briggs 12H1955 6hp Quantum engine did not like to start. The major problem was ethanol contamination of the fuel system, but the spark didn't look very blue and was intermittent. I installed a new carburetor and this coil; it starts on the first pull now.This coil is a little different from the original. But, it fits fine. The spade connector for the stop wire has to be bent down 90° for this engine. It did not come with a gap setting card, so I used a post card from the junk mail pile.

My old craftsman mower would die after it warmed up. Seemed like the coil was the only thing that could be affected by high temps and I was right. This replacement coil works.

This coil fit in my Briggs and Stratton perfectly but didn’t generate a spark. What a waste of money. This product was made in China. That’s what I get for buying cheap. At least Amazon was kind to refund my money. Amazon is an awesome company!

The tiller runs again! It fit with no problems and was easy to install. The Tiller started on the second pull with this new ignition coil.
