Learning the Art of Helping: Building Blocks and Techniques (5th Edition) (The Merrill Counseling) 5th Edition

This book makes the art of helping easy. I am using it for my counseling skills class and it is a great edition. It makes my professors job easier because it is so well written.

I (weird to say) LOVED this textbook. It was so useful and will be one that I keep after this course is over. Very informative and allows you to think about many scenarios.

Had to get this book for a class I am in. Was an easy read and had helpful tips for building a counselors techniques up. Found the examples most helpful. I kept this book even after the class was over

This book was of great help through my Counseling Skills course. We read it cover to cover and did a lot of the exercises. My professor leaned on this text quite heavily. The whole class felt much more confident in their skills at the end of the semester.

This book was very well written, easy to understand. Dr. Young puts out the best textbooks, I wish all my books were like this. I don't use the online stuff for the book, most classes don't require that you do.

This is a very helpful book, particularly for an introduction to counseling and the helping relationship. Wonderfully organized and clearly written.

The book was in great condition. There is writing on most of the pages, just someone putting their little notes in, but it isn't that bad. It doesn't take away from the material
