Though it's a little bulky it makes up for it with its performance. I used the tip for searing to spread the flame on a Chrome plated tube that was covered with a thin plastic film. The torch worked flawlessly. I like the flame instant on and instant off of its trigger. No turning on and off of a knob during use. Simply press it's trigger and you have flame, release trigger flame goes out. The heat level is high and instantaneous when you depress its trigger. It's single-handed use allows work in difficult situations where you need your other hand to hold your work. This is a nice torch. I would buy it again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, high heat, high performance torch.

I purchased this to have around my home shop. I occasionally find it useful to eat fasteners when breaking them loose, but I don't do it often enough to make an oxy-acetylene setup worthwhile. This worked perfectly and allowed me to break loose a few nuts that were firmly rusted in, and it got hot enough to melt the plastic slides on an old bobcat quick attach. Sadly it wasn't enough to free the pins, but neither was 4 tons of pressure from a porta-power so I don't blame the torch for that.Flame is nicely shaped and targeted, it seems to get hotter than my previous torch head, which started leaking, and its definitely safer. The only item I wish it had was the ability to lock on for an extended heating, but I get why it doesn't. Would buy again.

This torch is a quality piece of equipment. I love being able to adjust the flame intensity compared to other competitors.If I had a complaint it would be hire hot the tip of the torch gets instantly. It's made of thin steel that gets really hot fast. My old one has a brass tip and it takes a REALLY long time to get hot. Once I learned not to reach down and grab it to pick it up by that part i no longer have a complaint. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a well built affordable torch

This works great. I was looking to replace a basic torch head I got in a kit at the big box store. Easy to light, easy adjustments, with a convenient stay on feature. Worth the price.
