Easy to install, perfect fit, works as well as the OEM part. Must have something to support the hood and keep it open while completing the installation.

This is my second pair of Strong Arm struts that I needed for a 2001 Lexus LS430. The first pair was for the trunk, these for the hood. In both cases the struts fit perfectly and were super easy to install. Best of all the open/close operation is restored to factory spec. Cost for both trunk and hood were less than $100, a bargain for quality products. Definitely a winner.

Installed these in Dec ‘14 and they did give out. There is a “limited life time” warranty still honored and after jumping through a few hoops, they will replace them but you have to pay the shipping costs ($10 or so).Replacements arrived and since I had already swapped out mounting bolts they installed easy enough (once you get the retaining clip open).

Parts were made in the USA, a surprise. High quality! I received a quote to replace the hood struts on my 2003 LS430 Lexus for $569.80. Parts and labor. I was stunned by that amount. I watched a few YouTube videos and thought "I can do that myself." I'm 78, have little experience at being a "shade tree mechanic" but removing and replacing 4 bolts and two hood struts should not cost $175 for labor. Nor should the parts cost $394.40. I thought it worth the gamble. Total time for me to remove and replace the struts was less than 45 minutes. They work beautifully. I'm totally pleased with the quality and pricing.

these struts almost raise the hood on their own and with a lifetime warranty how can you go wrong. Essy to install. Just replace the balls on the hood and fender with the new ones and gently pop them on.. I put a little grease inside the fitting to make easier to snap in.

Easy to install, working great so far. Lexus dealer quoted more than $400 to replace the originals...

Dealer wanted $330 to replace the hood struts on my Lexus LS430. Purchased these replacement struts for less than $30 and replaced them myself in about 20 minutes. Would have taken less than 10 minutes if the OEM Lexus struts were held on with integral clips like many OEM autos but with the Lexus I had to unbolt the old struts from the hood and inside the front fender, which took a few more minutes, then screw in the replacement studs included with my new struts and snap on the new struts to the studs. Tip if you have to unbolt your old struts instead of pop off the clips you may need the proper open end wrench, in my case 12mm, because I did not have enough space to use a small crescent (adjustable) wrench. The replacement bolts that came with the struts used a 11mm wrench to install but the old strut is out of the way when you are installing the studs so space for a wrench is not a problem. The manufacturer's website has video and FAQs and when I spoke to the company to confirm I had the right replacement part their rep was easy to reach, knowledgeable and helpful, 5 star customer service. These StrongArm Lift supports work as well as the OEM supports did when new.

Took a long time to arrive from west coast to east. They were easy to install and work well. Time will tell how long they will last.
