Works well on my marble shower, great value!
Every 2-3 years I polish the marble tiles in my shower. Last time I used the Stadea hand polishing pads, which was an exhausting process. This year I used this Stadea electric polisher. I usually use 50,100,200, then end up with the 400 grit pads which gives me the final marble finish I like in my shower. The Stadea worked well and saved me a bunch of time over hand polishing. Since I do this process so infrequently, I have to retrain myself every time I do it with a bunch of YouTube videos, etc. The final result was fine though. Please note, I did not use the water spray attachment, rather hand wetting the shower tiles as I went along so I can't comment on how well the spray works (a few reviews here on Amazon which note problems with the water spray). This product left me very happy with its performance, especially for the price.

First time user, will be doing more with this tool
I read many reviews and did online research before buying this wet polisher. Excellent value for the money. A couple of things that concerned me was the negative reviews about the GFCI, leaking water, and the weight. I had no problems what so ever right out if the box. Match your water feed to your polish rate, make sure the splash guard is properly positioned, and you shouldn't have any problems. You don't need Niagara falls dousing you work piece. Set the flow to just past making a paste. That will be enough to keep the area clean and prevent excessive splash and spray. Obviously, working the sides and bottom are going to mitigate the water guards deflection properties, but unless you are treating it like the has hose in the scene in Zoolander, all should be fine.I didn't find the weight to be an issue at all. I am not a muscle head, but unless you are unable to pick up a cell phone, the weight is very reasonable. The weight of the front end makes it easy to let the tool do the job for you, no need to bear down. I do recommend using the side handle to shape and the forward handle to buff.No water leaks. As with all tools you should do a precheck to make sure everything is in working order. My two complaints, and the reason for 4 star instead of 5, is that the supplied wrench for the pad holder is too small. The spindle nut for the pad holder is 25mm, as is the Stadea router nut. Poor oversize by the company. The other complaint is that the water shroud tension band is not the quick adjusting type as advertised in the instructions. It is a straightforward band clamp. It works fine, but not as advertised. This was my first countertop project and it came out perfect, if I do say so myself. I picked this granite slab up from a reclamation center for $110, the router bit (shaper) cost $89, and the polisher with pads cost $267. Total cost was $466 to fabricate a 72"x22" granite counter top for our bathroom vanity. A counter top company was going to charge $500 just to cut and shape the slab I have, or $1200 for a new slab. I gained a new skill, a new tool, experience, and a custom countertop for less than shop labor.Operating advice. It is a rotary buffer and as such use the front edge of the pad. If you have ever worked a large floor buffer you know that the direction and control of the buffer depends on what edge of the pad you push on. The middle of the pad makes the tool buck and kick like an untamed horse, kind of like when riding a buffer in buffer rodeos. Some of you all know what I'm talking about. Apply light pressure and work back and forth. The weight of the tool will do the press down for you. Run the water at a rate just enough to keep the area clean. Use settings 4 and under for pads 50-400, these are the shaping and blemish removal grits. Use speed 5&6 for the 400+ grit pads to polish. If you have done wood working and sanded, you can use this tool and make your own beautiful countertop from construction trash.

Good tool If it didn’t have a defective locking mechanism
Product works wellFor its intended purposes. The problem I have with the tool is that the spindle locking mechanism gets stuck so the disk can be removed. The head needs to be removed to retract the lock. It must be spring loaded but this is defective. If you are not mechanically inclined, return the tool. It is too late for me as it was purchased at the beginning of the year and not used until recently.

Amazing Rock Polisher
These were the first rocks I polished with this stone polisher and I a was pleasantly surprised they turned out so well. It is winter here so all our hoses have been stored away but that didn't stop me. I just dipped the rock in a bucket of water after every two turns of the disc. In the summer I will hook the water hose to my garden hose. We are polishing specimen rocks (for display only) so I don't know if this would polish to a jeweler's standard or not, but this rockhound is very satisfied with this purchase.

Works like a charm
This product worked perfectly. Speed lock control is a great help. The water volume control works perfectly. The hook and loop disks stay tight. I am an DIY user of this product so it will never get a hard workout from me, but did everything I hoped it would do.

is very sturdy and performs much better than the polishers I have ...
Works very well for polishing rocks and minerals. Comes with everything you need, is very sturdy and performs much better than the polishers I have purchased in the past from rock hound sites.

Not for professional use
Arbor corrosion. Pin lock for changing heads has ceased due to corrosion, resulting to be stuck in place locking the arbor. When using variable speeds with recommended flow rate for appropriate slurry, machine under performs. Bogs down unable to maintain without the smell of burning plastic, typical for under powered machines facing overload. Motor is not strong enough to maintain long term use. Pads are not the best, but will work. I'd consider these medium grade pads, not for professional use.
