The Divine Mac Miller !
Yeah I'm saying it ......EMINEM HAVE SEVERAL SEATS ! Okay maybe i'm being a little harsh and dramatic but I say this because people seem to use the almighty EM as the yardstick to which all white rappers are to be measured .I was around when The Slim Shady l.p. dropped and it was good (really good) but I would have love to hear EM drop more r&b /funk flavored music, oh well .Now this Mac Miller is what rappers of any color should be studying because he knows that an artist needs to challenge him or herself to GROW in order to become a great hip hop artist, no longer should rappers rely on fancy words and lousy beats !The Divine Feminine is a solid ten songs hip hop album in which Mac does some singing too that's giving me a serious George Clinton vibe. Some of my favorites are Dang an old school meets new school dance song , Cinderella a sort of rock meets hip hop song and Stay a throw your hands up and bobyourheadtothis type of get down . Mac has more than proved himself capable of rising to the top of the hip hop cake !
