This CPU is beast. More than sufficient for most tasks. This version comes with out a heat sink so you will have to buy separately. Also this is unlocked version so produces a lot of heat. You will have to spend 2-3k extra for a good heat sink / aio cooler. I tried to enter bios without the heat sink just to check my pc. But I started to get high CPU temperature within 1-2 minute of powering on the machine. Bottomline - You better buy a good cpu fan/heat sink/aio cooler

No doubt, 12th gen Intel processors are a marvel of computing technology. Although there is a continuing tug of war between Intel and AMD in this regard. I personally chose Intel Core i7 (12700K) with inbuilt UHD graphics for my newly built desktop PC. For those, who don't want to use a separate and usually exorbitantly priced graphics cards, this processor is a very good alternative. It can handle most of the processing intensive rendering of Blender easily with its unlocked overclocking (obviously you have to use the supporting motherboard, i.e. presently available Z690 chipset motherboards). It can also smoothly handle almost all the tasks of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop with no hiccups. Not to mention the support of 4K video with HDR if you are looking for some decent and the latest entertainment in your PC. I would suggest this 12th Gen i7 to those who want to use their PC for content creation purpose in the best possible way and also at the same time save some money (compared to 12th Gen i9, which would ideally be the best anyway, but costlier too). The price is still at a high level. Hopefully this comes down soon with the launch of Intel's 13th Gen processors!

Best processor for gaming, editing. Using it since 1 week. No problem till date. PC starts within 20 sec after power on.

The CPU arrives without a fan; this is how it was supposed to be sold. Everything works fine.

So long performance is good, looks good as expected from Intel. works well with the combination of i7-12700k with Rtx 4060, Will update the info again after proper 1 year of use.

It crosses the rated tdp, it was using nearly 230 watts so make sure you've a AIO or a two tower cooler.

Una scheggia!! Ancora oggi uno dei migliori processori, volevo prendere una 14gen ma poi ho letto recensioni non molto convinceti, lo uso per lavoro e gaming, raffreddato con un be quiet dark rock elite (costoso, ma ne vale la pena) non ho mai superato i 40° fin'ora. Molto soddisfatto!!

古くてほぼ死んでいた2600ｋからの換装を考えましたが、技術の進歩に合わせてCPU＋M/Bから新調しました。 何か問題が発生しても以前のようにいじりまくる気力もないので、例のIntel時限爆弾問題からも外れてる12世代ということで、価格の安いこちらで購入しました。 組み上げて１週間以上経ちますが、今のところ全く問題ないです。 ガンガンとゲームばかりやるマシンではないので、簡易水冷ではなくCAD仕事に耐えられる程度の気持ち強力な大型のファンにした程度ですが、急激な温度上昇もなく、おとなしく仕事してくれてます。 ちょっと前のCPUですが、トラブルなく悪いところもないようなので、仕事用マシンに追加でもう一つ購入しました。 ２つ目はどうなのか、また後でレビューします。

Perfect part to finish building my PC. Disappointed in the size of box that Intel's CPU box was delivered in. boxed loosely in larger box. CPU box was damaged when arrived at my door. I was worried about the CPU when it showed up. Thankfully Intel packages their chips well. Thanks to Intel my system is up and running beautifully. would buy again.
