Great upgrade on previous models
I've been using Koralia Hydor pumps since they came out -- maybe in 2006 or so. We've had many of them in our tanks, and they do eventually burn out/fall apart. I bought this one to replace one we'd had running since around 2007. The upgraded design where the whole pump comes off the magnet works well, and it's really easy to clean. The older style were harder. This design also has a more diffused flow, but because we're using it in a reef tank, this is desirable. We still have the overall water movement without the directional "river" flow. Overall, I'm pleased we bought this one over some of the less expensive models from the brand. I just hope it lasts as long.
