Recently did a partscaster build, but found that the nut included with the neck (a Strat-style) was plastic and rather nasty sounding. Thankfully I had also bought this bone nut in case I had messed up cutting the stock nut. The new nut not only fit in the empty slot perfectly, the string slots were the right height for a .009-.042 string set so I didn't have to adjust. The difference in tone was also apparent once the strings were onWas worth the risk, and I'd be happy to buy it again for another project.

Fit perfectly on my Fender Stratocaster. Sanding and shaping was very easy with sandpaper. Polishes very nicely and looks and sounds amazing. Highly recommended for those DIYers out there. Make sure you have some nice files to file the grooves to the proper depth, but the length and width fit like a glove in the original American Strat 7.25 radius.
