This cord cover is well made, seems pretty sturdy and was easy to install. It comes rolled up in a small box, I took it out of the box and rolled it up in the opposite direction for a few hours so that it straightened out before using it, that made it lie pretty flat when I put it in use.The cover overall is roughly 1-1/4" wide, but the channel for the cord is very small, about 5/15" wide at most and just over 1/8" deep, maybe 3/16" deep at most. It could hold one of those light duty flat extension cords, but not the round kind that's about 1/4" in diameter. I used it for a thin antenna wire going to a cigar-type HD TV antenna that sits on the windowsill, that cord is about 1/8" diameter and it fit easily into the channel, but a much larger cord (like a standard cable TV cord) may be too big.Also, as I noticed in prior reviews, there is an indented line along the center of the cover on the under side, where you have to cut it to open it up to insert the cord. I used a sharp pocket knife and it worked great, took less than a minute to cut the entire length of the channel.It lies fairly flat and the sand color goes well with the rug. Overall I am pleased and it worked great for my intended use, but if you have a thicker cord to cover or a cord that is much wider than 1/4", it may not work for you!

This is a user error issue, but the product is otherwise great.So I had it in my head that these were wider and flatter even though the measurements were right there in the pictures and the description. Actually measure the area you want to put them in. Make sure they're not to tall and thin. I made them work and I'm very pleased with them, I just wish I'd paid more attention to the listed measurements.I put them on the tile of the other side of the door than where I wanted to have them over the carpet. Not a problem and in the end it looked and worked just fine. But the doors would never have cleared them. And as they're not as flat as I mistook them to be, they would have been a tripping hazard of their own hahaThe adhesive is very strong. But I would recommend cutting smaller pieces to place along the bottom as taking off the backing of one long piece pulled up the tape from the cord keeper. Honestly, they give you plenty, so don't worry about it. Just go easy and keep it tidy as you pull the backing off. It works very well.

It looks a lot wider in the pictures. Very narrow. Very hard to get it to lay flat. I ended up not using it.

It works. No one has tripped over the cord since placing this strip on the floor. The last time someone tripped, it resulted in 7 stitches. Oy!Follow the instructions and recommendations from other reviewers, roll the strip in on itself to get the curl out. I let mine sit for a day, unrolled it and saw that it still had a little curve to it. I re-rolled it back on itself and let it sit for another 24 hours. Curve was gone.I'd suggest sweeping and mopping your floor before you install this strip. Dust, debris and substances will affect adhesion. Ours has been stuck to the laminate floor for almost a year. We've swept and mopped over it, and it has not come loose. It does get dirty, so it needs mopping. Ours is the light brown color.

This barely works for us, but it's not the manufacturer's fault - it's mine. The dimensions barely accommodate the wires we need to cover, but it does work. Just be sure you're buying the right product for the cable(s) you're trying to protect.
