They are awesome, but a bit expensive

Fresh, Delicious and quick delivery. Arrived a little crushed. Recommend shipping in a box rather than envelope. Still good!

Surprisingly, this is pretty bland and tasteless. I can't see how any ginger read could be tasteless, it this is. Even the chocolate coating is bland, and dried out, chipping away and falls off, but at least that has a barely noticeable taste of dark chocolate. I suppose the explanation is that this arrived stale. The cookie and chocolate just crumbles away when I tried to bite into it each time. (So who knows? Maybe a fresh batch is fine?

I love German lebkuchen --chocolate-coated spice cookies with some fruit filling--but this brand doesn't always travel well, and I don't think there was a single cookie in the package that emerged from its travel intact. I have finished eating the last crumbly bits, and they definitely tasted good, but they would have looked dreadfully pathetic out on a plate for company. It didn't occur to me to contact the supplier in Germany or take any pictures of the mangled cookies until I was asked for a review. There are other companies --Wicklein's Gingerbread Stars and Bahlsen Contessa Lebkuchen among them--that, due to the shape of the cookies and the way they are packed close together, not loose in a bag, arrive at the consumer in uncrumbled shape.

These are so yummy. Once I open the package I have no will power to refrain from eating all the cookies in the bag. The combination of flavors is quite wonderful. I love the the slight firmness of the chocolate that encases the soft ginger and apricot center.

For these for my mom for mother’s days and she loved them. They melted a little in the heat but they were still edible.

Really wanted to like these. I had had this type of cookie when I was stationed in Germany, and found them quite good. Imagine my disappointment when I recieved my three bags of smashed, crumbled and vaguely heart shaped cookies. The taste is sort of okay, it doesn't have nearly enough ginger taste and the apricot filling is almost sickly sweet. They are also a trifle too dry although the use by date on the bag says 02 2023. Absolutely no way of salvaging them to serve to guests. Why they were shipped in a plastic envelope I have no idea. Amazon is so inconsistent with its packaging. I will not be purchasing these again.
