I got this for my wife's car and gotta say it was easy to install and use. She is getting used to it but likes that you can view front and back camera at the same time.

So far, it's been working well. I purchased 2 of a different brand and they have been a total disappointment

I can definitely recommend this G814 model from JOMISE. I've had it up and running for a couple of months.Nothing is perfect and we all wish a device would do this or that. But overall, I believe this unit covers the majority of features desired by users plus some others that we didn't even know we needed. And I found the price to be fair and competitive. I wanted just a few things from a dashcam -- a 4K resolution, a rear camera, a looping data card, and a unit that would attach to my current mirror. My previous dashcam attached to the windshield but the Texas summer heat fried it. So, I needed something that was away from the glass and a mirror replacement unit was ideal.I installed this in a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. The rubber straps used to hold the dashcam in place weren't long enough for me. I was expecting one end to snap at any moment. I searched for longer straps online but couldn't find anything. Luckily, JOMISE provides us with four (4) total straps -- two shorter & two longer. So I simply used a little twist tie to join one of each. Violà -- success. I bought a 128GB SDMicro card since it was the maximum amount of storage allowed. I'm looping at 5-minute intervals but also want to store as much as possible at any given time.For awhile, I simply ran it using the charger cable. But with my charging ports, it required me to unplug it every time I wanted to turn it off. So, I soon opted to install the hardwire kit into my fuse panel. This was my plan all along anyway. The yellow and red wires both have fuses attached. Unfortunately, I didn't have open connection slots to use in my fuse panel. So I purchased piggyback add-a-fuse wire connections, cut the fuses off of the wiring provided by JOMISE, and eventually connected the wiring with crimped bullet connections. I'm not the most knowledgeable about such things but figured out how to do it properly with a handful of online searches and video tutorials. Now the dashcam turns on/off with my ignition. And I assume the 24 Parking Monitor is now active. I turned it on in the Settings but haven't had the opportunity to test it.I found it very helpful that the front camera can be physically moved around a bit in order to line up what you want recorded. As for the rear camera, it's also helpful that you can simply drag the view (in your mirror) up/down. The rear camera doesn't physically move of course and still records everything in one large video. But it allows you to see exactly the angle that you want to see. By the way, don't forget to remove the blue film covers that protect both the front and rear camera lenses during shipping etc. I forgot to take it off the front camera at first and everything was a muted blue color. Whoops. :) The video clarity on the device is really good. And I have no issues with the downloaded video either. By the way, it's not in the Settings but you can turn on/off the time/date stamp simply by touching it on the screen. At this time, I've opted to install the rear camera inside the back window. I didn't feel like running the wire through my tailgate in order to mount it outside ... not without first knowing that everything will work as I need it to. In the future I may run it outside but only because the rear camera view is very dark at night due to my factory window tint. Then again, I don't personally need to see too much out the back other than where cars are located (via headlights). And I'm not really sure how much it would improve with an external mount.One thing that isn't quite ideal is what you see in the mirror from the rear camera. Everything looks much farther away than it actually is; objects in mirror are definitely closer than they appear. It's quite an adjustment because while it looks like you have plenty of room between you and a vehicle behind you, you really need to check your side mirrors etc before changing lanes or you might cut someone off. I wish the rear view in the mirror had a zoom feature to accommodate for this but it doesn't. Supposedly that feature may be part of future products from JOMISE. There's also quite a bit of reflection in the mirror during the daytime. I'm pretty sure that's going to happen for any mirror device that shows video because it's not a normal mirror surface. So I've asked for an Anti-Glare Film cover from JOMISE. It's likely their B09PFVNXD5. Hopefully it'll help once I get it in place. Some folks like it and some don't. But I think it really just depends on whether or not you want to use the dashcam as an actual mirror or if you want to view the rear camera feed. Duh, the Anti-Glare Film is for those who want video. I've also heard it may be a little difficult to apply and that there aren't any instructions (in English at least). There may be some question as to which side is which; will have to wait and see. One other little thing I've noticed is that every once in awhile the image shown upon starting my vehicle is the front camera view instead of the rear (which I have as the default in Settings); a small glitch but the only way to get it corrected is to turn my vehicle off and back on.The GPS software (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jG0sML5IQNpj4lSMa79t6C9AsG_Nl2jm) available isn't the best but it does the job. I'm sure some people may find it useful. For me, it's really just an extra thing to play with if and when. But I'm glad to have it available. Personally, I haven't hooked up the GPS attachment for the dashcam simply because it's not something I feel I need and/or will use. But still, it's nice to have the option.What features would I like to see added? The only things that really come to mind are a WiFi app for video download/sharing and a rear camera zoom setting. But like I said, we can't have everything. And I'm okay with that.And finally, I found the customer service from JOMISE to be extremely accommodating if not downright generous! After reading questions and reviews from others, I contacted JOMISE by email after purchasing the dashcam and requested both the hardwire kit (B09MQN96L1) and the extra long 33ft rear camera cable (B095SLGVMM). Once I provided proof of purchase, they shipped them to me for free; no cost whatsoever. That's fantastic! I also requested and received a PDF version of the manual as it's a) easier to read and b) I like to keep digital files of such supporting documentation. Next up, they're going to send me the Anti-Glare Film cover. JOMISE -- I am a fan. Thank you!

Screen is good, the rear camera takes some getting used to. I had to scroll it down so I could see closer to the rear of my vehicle.Note, I have a backup camera, so I'm not using that feature.Not their fault, but the hardwire kit was a P.I.A. for my vehicle, the fuse panel is in an extra hard location to reach. I gave up for now, but need to install it to free up my lighter outlet for other purposes. Therefore I'm also not using the 24 hour parking monitor yet. (Update) I paid my mechanic to do it, it took them awhile as well, to figure out which fuses to use and do to the hard to get to location on my vehicle. Also, my vehicle used a different physical size fuse that what came with the hardwire kit, so they had to cut the end off and find an adapter. Note, my mechanic liked it so much, he bought one. Also, my Brother Inlaw bought one after seeing mine and my wife wanted one for her vehicle. (But with the 3rd interior camera for watching what is going on in the back seat.)Overall I like it. I did suggest some improvements.My mirror factory mirror is really thick, it has the Compass reading on the mirror and has the auto day/night feature. This caused issues with mounting.1. The rubber straps should be replaced with velcro that tighten through a loop on the other side. This would allow for better fit on larger mirrors and also hold up better. I expect at some point the rubber ones will dry up and break.2. The camera will record a max of 3 minutes, no matter how big of a memory card you have. I would like to see a lot longer recording time if the user upgrades the card. Example someone break checking you multiple times, road rage where someone is chasing you for several miles, etc. (Update) I've found this isn't a problem, it keeps a LOT of 3 minute videos, so you will still have the storage time and it will be incremented, instead of scrolling through 1 long video.I did notice I hit a pothole and I believe it Saved that as a crash event. I need to look at the card. Note, there is a sensitivity adjustment for how the impacts are recorded.Due to the updates, and figuring things out, I have changed this from 4 to 5 stars.

I got one for my daily and it worked so well, I got it for my weekend car and my friends car. Straight forward install. Love that the screen is integrated as your mirror so it doesn't take up unnecessary peripheral space, never have to adjust the rear view mirror for a different driver, clear/easy to see in any driving conditions, reduces high beam/glares, and GREAT customer service. They reached out to check up on me without asking for anything in return. You can also pile stuff into your car (I have a hatch) and it won't obstruct your view since the camera is behind all your stuff.Only con is that your rear view mirror will no longer act as a "mirror" in that it won't reflect anything in the back. Say you want to look at your teeth or reflection...you'll have to use your sun visor mirror, assuming you have one.Great product. 10 out of 10. Would buy again.
