This is absolutely great but slightly expensive
Wish it was cheaper. It is very useful for high speed data transfer between mutiple items which is it's only purpose, anyone using it for other things is basically using it incorrectly and it is not fair to judge a product for something its not meant to do.

I use this to transfer data between 4 16 TB RAID 5 drives, on both Mac OS X and Windows 10 computers. No connectivity problems with either OS X or Win10. Great not to have to use USB A-USB C adaptors, as with other USB hubs. The product was so useful, I bought four of them! Note, this hub is not for charging or video signals, just data. Edit: this works so well and is so useful that I have npw bought six of them!

bought it to run a Think-vision screen off an X1 carbon, only two usb C ports on the x1 carbon so need more capacity, unfortunately the external monitor wont work, have tried various combinations of connections. the external display works flawlessly when hub not used.

aangezien je maar 2 USB-C aansluitingen hebt op een nieuwe MacBook Air is deze hub een zegen om niet steeds externe toestellen te moeten ontkoppelen en aankoppelen: het geeft via 1 USB-C 4 aankoppel poorten. Mooi, heel nuttig en neemt niet veel plaats in!

Works perfectly well. Using it for connecting an external audio DAC, iPad as a sidecar display, a hard disk and the Elgato Stream deck.
