Harrisville Designs Quick to Knit Scarf, Knitting Kit, Weaving for Beginners for Kids and Adults-Blue/Purple

I bought this as an adult to learn knitting with a low cost kit. I had zero exposure to knitting before this.I found the instructions adequate as far as written instructions can get for string projects. I had to find videos online to truly understand the knit stitch step-by-step.Another issue with this being for beginners, is that the yarn is too fuzzy and double twisted. It would be easier for a newb to have a single ply, smooth, stretchy yarn to learn with.I found this yarn very scratchy and limited stretch before breaking.I can say it did allow me to learn to knit and had the supplies I needed. The scarf is only big enough for an American Doll, and far too scratchy to give to a young child to wear.

I bought this as a beginner and I almost quit learning how to knit. I tried a different beginner kit from another vendor and now I’m able to knit simple projects. I did use this again buy used a different set of knitting needles.

Even with my big hands, I have a hard time using these knitting needles.

As an adult I had difficulty figuring out the instructions and had to find online videos for help.

This was my very time ever trying to knit. I made this scarf for my granddaughter and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm working on making a dish towel now.

For beginners.

Everything was great but the string is not long enough to make a scarf. 😞
