I purchased these as a compact backup item in emergency situations where food is not readily available. I will place a few of them in our vehicles in case of being stranded away from home. They will provide all of the nutrients needed while taking up a small space and not heavy or bulky to carry. They taste delicious!

I believe this will be great back up for any kind of emergency. Whether it be natural disasters, stranded somewhere, or anything else that can happen in this day and age. I laughed at one reviewer complaining about the daily calories. Um, in an emergency, something is better than nothing. Nope not a gourmet meal, nope probably not enough to meet your daily caloric intake, however, it is a great "back-up" for either nothing or it is great to "fill in" on limited food choices you may have in your pantry rationing is key as well. In an emergency, you will have to use what you have on hand, and this is just another reassurance you can have somewhere in your home, or even take while camping for weeks on end in the middle of no where! This is a great addition to anyone who cares about prepping, or just doesn't want to be taken by surprise in the event of any emergency at all. Even the Red Cross believes in a few days of preparation for disastrous events! Taste is fine, but if you are desperate does it matter how it tastes?

This product is and performs exactly as advertised. I used it during periods of travel when it was expensive and difficult to find reliable food, I could much on these periodically through the day and feel like I had plenty of fuel. It basically like having flavored powdered milk in a capsule. Very convenient.

I have not tried the food tabs yet as I am saving it for emergencies and opening the container drastically reduces their shelf-life according to instructions, but I can say that these are extremely smaller than I expected for the $$$ - hope I'll never need them, but if I do, will give them a try..

Good deal, light weight with no special storage or preparation needed. I keep it in my car glove compartment for easy access for a quick snack to maintain my focus and energy. also, it helps maintain my blood sugar a plus. Peace of mind for when I need access to an emergency full of vitamins, nutrients, and tasty food sources quickly.

The flavor is exactly like powdered coffee creamer mixed with freeze dried marshmallows. I used them while working outside and it gave me a great energy boost that lasted for hours. Gave a container to my neighbor who hikes the Appalachian Trail and he even said the energy level is unreal. No jitters, no shakes, no empty feeling. If only they weren't so pricey!

Taking one every hour is next too impossible. Take six at a time. Weight loss program thinkers... pump the brakes. It all depends on metabolism. Also, you will crave food and lose the taste for others. The main reason you may and I stress may see immediate loss of weight is your colon empties out. In addition, you may lose three lbs in days, you have even one good real food meal it all comes back. Once you lose weight desired, eat healthy and maybe the weight will not return, then again I am no dietitian nor a medical doctor, just a light hearted mini-prepper who tries new things and has several alternatives or redundancy plans.
