Great for a little fun and education

Not a 5 because no full instructions come with it. Just a color code sheet for the resistors however once you know the formula for reading the resistors and figuring out the ohms for each it’s a fun build. Regardless if you are novice or advanced to soldering and circuits it’s a great little kit to practice on especially for the price. Not the biggest in size but it works. Once I got mine soldered up even after thinking I burned a part of the board I turned it on and it displayed properly all switches worked.

So it’s a no frills kit and gets the job done. However i do have a few issues. one is as others have pointed out no instructions other then the card that shows a picture of the board however its upside down. took me a minute to figure this out so i just totally ignored the card. also its probably the cheapest paper i’ve ever seen and i dont know did they use finger paint? the colors of the bands on the resistors aren’t anywhere close to what they should be.

The media could not be loaded. So I purchased this kit along with a few others to prepare to repair a few xbox 1 controllers I have. It was pretty fun; in enjoyed the experience. However, a soldered everything together and the switches didn't work properly. Now granted I've only done this a few time, but I'm very certain I got strong connections with the solder . I checked everything over multiple time to make sure they were in the correct spot and position. Let me know if I did something wrong and I will recant.

This is the perfect DIY learn how to solder starter point this will teach you how to identify different capacitors and how to read ohms to make sure that you're getting the appropriate amount of electricity passing through each circuit. It's a very basic plan, the most difficult part about it is being able to see the thin colored lines that identify the different ohms rating. But if you take your time and use a magnifying glass it's well worth the experience.

Most of the resistors were bad or out of tolerance and all of the LED's were bad, did not work. Complete and total disappointment. Definitely a waste of money.
