2022, February 1INSTALLATIONI had difficulty with installation as the router had the same name for the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz channels. The router then chooses the channel. This is a 2.4 GHz camera. The instructions are explicit on this point, but I chose to try my luck in any event, without success. The process of differentiating the channels is quite simple. My router setup screen has a switch to allow the router to choose the channel. Flipping the switch forces one to give different names to each channel. I simply left the 2.4 GHz channel with the original name, xxxx, and named the 5 GHz channel xxxx-5GHz. If your router already has a distinct 2.4 GHz channel you should not have this difficulty.Even then the camera did not install. I left it powered down overnight, and the next morning the installation went smoothly and was done in a minute. Presumably the camera needed time to forget its previous setting. Moral: read the manual and follow the instructions, making sure you have a specific 2.4 GHz channel.The camera can be used free-standing or with the supplied bracket for wall or ceiling mounting.INSTRUCTIONSThe instructions are clear, but it is obvious they are not written or edited by someone whose mother tongue is English (it may have been translated by an AI translator). Other than the occasional word that seems out of place the instructions can be followed easily. In the MIPC app be sure to select the PTZ (pan, telescope, zoom) Camera when adding the device.USAGEThe camera is wirelessly connected to my system, but needs to be connected to a power source via a USB cable and power adapter (supplied). So far I have used it plugged into a battery pack, typical of those used for charging phones or other USB devices. This works quite well.Images can be stored in the Cloud or on an SD card. Cloud would be best if it is to be used as a security camera and SD card would be fine for watching children or pets.FEATURESThe image can be controlled from the app using swivel and tilt finger movements on the image. The night vision is excellent giving a clear image of the large room it is in.At this time I have not tested all its features.It appears it can be linked to an Echo device (Alexa) but i have not done so. It has a microphone and speaker as well as infrared night vision.The quality seems good and it has a solid feel about it.Disclaimers:This product was given to me to review. I have several cameras of various brands in place. If I were in need of an additional one, or needed to replace one, I would buy this product as an indoor monitoring device. This inexpensive camera was purchased to monitor my home while I am away. The setup was very easy. I attached directly to my Motorola router ethernet port and downloaded the MIPC app. With the direct connection there was virtually nothing else to setup.The camera automatically switches to night vision when in dim light. The picture quality, detail and ability to zoom and move is outstanding. Note the two above screen captures of my fitness room, and the extreme zoomability. The camera is turned by swiping with fingers--it's intuitive. The movements of the camera are extreme. If positioned near a window, it is possible to look outside and zoom in to see better, for example, to view outdoor plants.This is an excellent camera to monitor your home and property at a very inexpensive price. Storage of images is available, however I am only using it for real time viewing. It has 2 way talking that is not necessary for me. I have used discarded iPhones for home monitoring in the past. With this camera they are no longer needed.The camera is made of plastic and includes accessories for mounting and setup. Wireless WiFi connection is available for those who want that. I do not regret my purchase and do recommend this camera for customers who want an inexpensive, yet high quality home monitoring device.

This is a nice camera for the price. Good quaility and well made so far. You can move the camera around while viewing the screen, also take a picture of whats on the screen. I like that you can zoom in while watching the screen. If you are looking for a baisc security camera, this is a great one to start with.

I bought this Camere to replace 3 others I was using for my room, which were fixed angle, ( so I could not move them remotely. ) I use it to keep an eye on my best friend scooby ( my dog ) plus I have roommates and I like to leave my door open so my dog can come and go, so this works out perfect I can move the camera from my phone and a big plus is I can talk to her and the roommates now know I can see and hear at all time's and that keeps them at bay. So I removed the three other cameras I was using and this camera now does what the others did plus. it has a great range of motion and you can use a memory card, and with service you get 24/7 cloud service for a great rate. I can't say enough good things about this camera. I will be ordering 2 more for the front and rear doors to my home 👍👍👍

This camera has been perfect for us to monitor our new weim pup in the crate while we are at work. It is also helpful to see what he is up to without going into the room and disturbing him. There is a cloud feature that saves blocks of video. This is also helpful to look back at. For example, we put the pup to bed and 5min later he started to cry bloody murder. We looked back in the cloud to see what exactly happened and he had gotten his muzzle stuck between the crate while licking it. He has since learned and not done it again. Easy to set up and use. It has a cord and is hidden behind the night stand, thankfully we had an outlet near by. Worth the money (coming from a frugal spender)
