Great blade stays sharp
A high quality knife. Small in size allows for easy handling and skinning. Handle is grippy with texture even when wet. Able to skin and butcher two full deer on one sharpening. A great blade.

Small Gerber Fixed Blade
This knife is really nice albeit on the smaller side than I'd imagined, especially for my big hands. With that said though it's quite useful for a variety of tasks and came razor sharp. Really dig the canvas sheath this series come with too!

Great value for the money
This is a great little knife for the money. I actually liked using it so much I started using it in the kitchen and now I just keep it with my kitchen knives. You can get a couple of different angles depending on where you grip on the knife and it gives you significantly increased cutting power for such a small knife, so it works for gutting fish, cutting potatoes, etc.

Live this knife!
My brother got me one of these a few years ago for christmas, has turned into my favorite knife, just bought a couple more since I just lost one out in the woods. for the price, it's amazing deal. I think what makes this is the sheath, its the most comfortable knife I've ever known, so comfortable with the design compared to the more rigid or hard cases you see out there. makes it fun to wear out hiking or when doing anything hunting.

Good product so far
First time used, used to skin and clean a white tail deer, left knicks on blades from hitting the bone. Also left little spots all over the blade I'm not sure what caused that. Feels good in the hand, super sharp out of the box, easy too sharpen as well.

Great game and food processing knife
This knife belongs to the Gerber Gear Downwind series of which at the time of purchase and this writing, are three: Caper, Ulu, and Drop Point. As such reviews for all three will share the initial part of the review with specific details of each model towards the end (It is not lengthy so fear not). All three knives share the same engineering, design, and materials. The handles are layered G10 that give it a tree bark look, will last a lifetime and a half, and all have (finally! ) real lanyard holes and not pinprick sized holes like other knives. The G10 does seem a bit too smooth but they have jimping that a starts seamlessly continue t the blade. Each blade is stone washed, and very sharp. This review is for the Caper, the detail work and slicer go-to knife of the Downwind family. Great for processing game, it took apart two Thanksgiving turkeys, a bone in ham, and still needs no sharpening. The small sharp blade worked beautifully and could in theory be used for carving.

Great sized ergonomic fixed blade
This is my new "around camp" knife. The size of this is large enough that I can use it for some heavier duty but small enough to still fit well in my hand and not be a huge weight on my belt. The finger groove in the blade is great for more intricate control and feels fantastic in my hand. The handle itself is honestly nothing special but it gets the job done. I initially was skeptical about this sheath with that pivot point connecting the belt loop to the rest of it, but it hangs at a pretty nice distance and makes the sheath less rigid so its not going to poke into your thigh while walking, and instead move with you a little more. It comes shave sharp out of the box and the blade doesn't have any knicks in it after using on dry wood, so so far its held up well.
