Great book, even if you're not a teacher
I have long known that teachers need to be organized. Students need to know that you have things at hand, you know exactly what you are doing, and that you can make it run smoothly - no down time. I was an extremely disorganized teacher, and this book helped me in very practical and effective ways, not only in my professional life, but also in my personal life. It is true - everyone is happier when things are organized. I think the worst part about organizing is not knowing what to do with things that don't fit into any particular category. This writer told me how to work with that. I keep this book with me all the time. It's right here beside me as I am writing. This book can help anyone. You don't have to be a teacher to use it. Do yourself a favor and get this book, especially if you are disorganized and frustrated, but also if you are not having organizational concerns. You never know what you might learn!

Great reminders and new tips
I have been teaching for 16 years, but tend to place things in "STACKS" where I have to flip through certain stacks to find things. I wanted a fresh start as I begin in a new school with a new classroom, so this book offered great reminders and practical solutions to the organized-but-disorganized teacher. I really connected when the author said that of course most teachers are organized at a surface level. But deep down, it's not the most functional. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it if you can find it at an affordable price

I struggle with organization! This book made me realize how much harder I make my life by not making systems. She give so many tips that can change your life! Must read for unorganized teachers!

Some good ideas
Bought this by accident (hit the wrongg button on my Kindle!), but this was a serendipitous purchase. I've got just about 10 years of teaching experience, and this book still gave me some good ideas about managing the mountains of papers and forms. This would be especially useful for a new teacher. Some of the forms don't reproduce so well in the Kindle edition, so consider getting the print on this one.

Great book.....this is the book you are looking for if you want to be an organized, "together" teacher.
I highly recommend this book. I also bought a book called The Together Teacher: Plan Ahead, Get Organized, and Save Time! and it wasn't what I was looking for. This is the book I was looking for. It is written for teachers on all levels. The author is not only a 17 year veteran public school teacher, but also a professional organizer. I learned a lot from her book and got a lot of great ideas. All areas of teaching are addressed--grading, lesson planning, classroom configuration, managing stress and even tips for managing student paperwork.

I really loved it. It's a great book if you are ...
I really loved it. It's a great book if you are planning to be a teacher in Spain. It's not very usual to teach how to become a organized teacher in the university and you are left alone in this area, so when you get to a class, you are kind of alone with this as it seems people think you already know how to do all the paper stuff and organising all right, so... this book is just perfect.

Good tips, but not as helpful as I wanted
There were some good organizing tips in the book, but not as much as I expected. Many of the tips would work better for elementary or reading/English teachers. Still, I have used several ideas in my class, so it was useful.

Four Stars
Has ideas that can be used right away. Not theory, but practical "can-do's!"
