Quick and easy to install
My ThinkPad only came with the external battery and not the internal battery. I purchased this battery to have both sets of batteries. I'm getting amazing battery life on both sets of batteries. This came with everything you need for replacing the battery including the screwdrivers.

Does not last
I needed an internal battery replacement ASAP for my T480, as it would charge or boot up. This one had the fastest ship time, so I went with it. When I initially installed it, it worked ok, though it was definitely not the same amount of charge time as the factory one that came with my T480; it lasted somewhere between 2-3 hours, which was ok to get my laptop up and running since my external battery would still give me a good 4-5 hours. However, now, after only one month, the internal battery only holds a charge for about 15 minutes. Definitely not a reliable battery. I'm going to try and get an OEM.

Good value.
I had some trouble installing this internal battery in my T470 which came with no internal battery. I wasn't pressing the connector deep enough. When it's fully inserted, only about 1 mm of the battery's connector is visible on the connector on the motherboard. Eventually I used quite a bit of force and it slipped in, and I knew it would finally recognize it and charge.I calibrated it using TLP in Linux, right at the advertised capacity. The computer detected it as an LGC made 5 months earlier with 1 charge cycle (the calibration). Together with the aging OEM 61+ external battery at 80% capacity, I'm now getting 13-14 hours battery life in Linux with the keyboard backlighting and screen brightness at 100%!I didn't try using the tools for anything. It seems most of these aftermarket batteries include them, but I'd rather use ones that I chose.Working on one of these T470s is probably the easiest computer modifications that I've ever done.

Tried to edit my previous review but…
Just wanted to say it does charge more than the 79% I had originally stated. The T480 has the max charging set to 80%. So it did charge to what the laptop wanted. The default max. charging on the Lenovo was 80%

Good Replacement
I replaced my external battery a few months ago on my 5 year old Thinkpad T470 and I wasn't able to get a full charge most of the time on it. Finally my diagnostics told me the internal battery had also failed and needed replaced. I purchased this one and followed one reviewers advice to disconnect the internal battery software before replacement. Not sure it was needed but it did no harm. Doing the actual replacement was delicate work, the connector is very small. There were two very small screws holding the internal battery and I had an issue getting one out with the supplied screwdriver. Luckily Lenovo had put good quality screws in and I was able to use a better screwdriver for removal without ruining the top. After completion both of my batteries were fully charged in two hours and seem to be working fine with no compatibility problems which was a concern since neither are Lenovo brand. Longevity with this battery is still a question but it is presently working well.

Reduced Maximum Capacity
Bought this for a Thinkpad T480 with internal battery that only has around 14Wh capacity out of 24Wh'ish (58%). The first time power up after replacement, it shows 24+Wh capacity at 100% which is great. But after 3 charges to 100% and then discharge to around 10-20%, the capacity reduced to 16Wh, or 66%!!I returned it for a replacement and upon install the replacement also showed 24+Wh capacity (100%). I again follow the procedure on the product page to charge to 100% and then discharge to 20% 3 times. This time the maximum capacity dropped to just under 21Wh, or 85% of the spec!! See the screen shots. Given this is for my child for college and it's a day away, I reluctantly keeping this battery. This issue apparently is not unique to me based on reviewers. So please take this possibility (of less-than-spec maximum capacity) when you purchase.I will update when the battery degrades further.

Do not buy this battery.
This battery stopped working after one month. The PC turns off when the battery is at 60% capacity, which takes no time at all. the return window is only one month so we’re out of luck.
