Colors are different from the marker set
I got these thinking they would match the bronze, silver, and gold marker set I got from Sharpie. They don't, so they can't be used on the same project as the markers. I got these to use for more intricate work alongside the markers. Just be aware of the difference. The bronze has a pink tint to it, which I was surprised about. I'd recommend they change that a bit. They're nice paint though. I think the gold is prettier than the gold markers.

Fun to write with!
I got these as I had to get a ergonomic chair for work and the nurse said to write my name using a Gold Sharpie on the metal bar in the back so that if someone takes the chair I know which on was mine.. Man, did this do the job - and now I use it to write on just about everything - I love all the colors. Don't limit yourself to the plain boring black ones anymore!! Even to ship packages. Bring some joy to the mundane things in life.

WINNER!
I have been using these for several months now and they are FABULOUS and that is saying a lot since I have tried most all metallic (non-gel) pens on the market. The color stays fast on plastic even when rubbed with a soft wet cloth. It did take a lot to get them going but have patience and they all were going in about 8 minutes total. this is to be expected because of the way they are designed. I have not experienced any leaking at all except once when I shook TOO vigorously and it was only a little tiny bit around the tip. when I did not use them for a bit (several weeks) the metallic particles settle inside the pen and a little more gentle shaking is required to make sure you don't only get color with very little metallic. (that's to be expected) Writing/drawing is smooth and fluid, colors are bold and clear. if you are drawing or writing for a while you can help continuous flow by pressing down on a scrap of paper once and scribbling a tiny bit but this isn't often needed. Definitely will get again.

Does not work very well
I only used the white one on black stickers. It’s hard to write. I have to shake the pen after writing each word Otherwise, the color faint away. Not sure if it’s because it’s not designed to write on the material

Painstakingly researched, artist review of Paint Pens
We just have to accept this hard truth: There is no such thing as a "perfect" paint pen. They can clogged up, they can leak, sometimes they don't last long and sometimes they seem to last forever. That being said :) here's a 2-cent opinion from someone who has tried them all.--Sharpie brand pens are my top choice.--Sharpie water-based pens seem to have fewer problems than Sharpie oil-based pens.--Sharpie Poster-Paint pens are ALL water-based (despite some of the product descriptions on Amazon that say they're oil-based. You can double check this by taking a close look at the image: IF it is the correct image it will clearly say water-based).--Sharpie Poster-Paint pens are my top choice. It's too bad the color choices are so much more limited, but if you're looking for a basic colors, these pens are excellent. On a side note: Who knew purchasing paint pens could be so challenging? It's nearly impossible to get all the listings in one search due to Amazon's search engine. No matter how general or specific you search, different choices will show up and disappear. I suggest simply searching for paint pens, then filtering brand to BOTH Sharpie and Sanford for the best results.

Label desks with these
I’m a teacher and I use these to write student’s names on desks with them. The names stay on really well. Removes with hand sanitizer. Pretty cool!

NOT permanent marker.
I failed to realize that these aren’t the standard permanent marker typical of Sharpie brand. When you first open them you have to remove them from the package, then remove them from the inside wrap. Then turn them tip up and depress the tip of the marker down which feels like it breaks a seal inside. Then you have to shake them to mix up the paint, then shake the paint down into the tip, then try to write, then shake some more, then try to write, etc, until the paint finally flows down into the tip.Once writing, they appear to write fine, nice fine point, and nice metallic colors. My biggest concern is that they won’t last long. Since they come with multiple seals, what are the odds this paint will actually stay liquid inside the pen? I guess I’ll find out in the next few weeks. It also wasn’t very clear to me that they weren’t really a permanent marker until I opened the pack and saw just how different they were from regular Sharpie markers. I thought I was just buying metallic Sharpie markers. As far as buying again, we’ll see how long these last.

Good saturation, tips stay nice
These things are niiiiiiiiice. I used them to touch up an old wooden sign we had hanging by our pool. They work perfectly, the colors are bright and saturated, and even though I filled in a rather large area with the yellow, it continued to work perfectly and showed no sign of conking out. The tips stayed nice too, even though the wood I used them on wasn't perfectly smooth. They are so fun to use, now I am looking for something else to paint. When these run out, I am getting more.
