Ice Cream Scoop with Modern Heat-Conducting Aluminum Ergonomic Handle (Purple)

I bought this for my mom. She loves ice cream and I noticed that she was using an old scoop with wire handles that squeeze together to push the ice cream out of the scoop. She was hurting her hand trying to push that scoop through hard frozen ice cream. Based on the reviews I bought her this one. She really loves it. She says the ice cream is easy to scoop and the wide round handle doesn't hurt her hands. She doesn't know if the scoop actually gets warm from her hand heat, but she doesn't really care because it works so well. At first I was concerned because the bowl of the scooper seems very small, but she is able to get very nice sized ice cream balls with it. And it is a little smaller form factor so it fits nicely in the drawer.

I love this scoop. It's an awesome product. The heat of your hand warms up the scoop making it easy to scoop out perfect round scoops. LOVE the color, love the feel. I have arthritis in my hands and it's lightweight and easy to grasp. It's NOT dishwasher safe but NOT an issue as it washes clean so quickly!

Great scoop. Releases ice cream reliably, as stated. Sturdy. Light. Very easy to wash.Two minor annoyances cause a -1:1. In the marketing material, the finish appears to be semi-gloss, which was a selling point for me. In person, the finish is more flat, like egg shell.2. The end of the handle appears to be a separate part, but seems non-removable. This would be fine, but it collects water, and you must take extra care to dry it.

I love using this ice cream scoop. It is easy to scoop and ball ice cream using it as it cuts through cold, hard ice cream like a hot knife cuts butter. I have no idea if it truly does conduct heat but I will give Berco Kitchen the benefit of the doubt. I suppose I could do a test using an infrared thermometer before and after I touch it. If I do, then I will update this post. I like that the scoop is red and it feels sturdy.I messed up by returning the first one because I should have simply exchanged it or asked for a replacement. I was simply going to purchase it again at a latter date using the refund; however, I did not receive my refund by Amazon after it was received by Amazon on 7/11. I felt that the first one I received was used because the lettering was faint on the work kitchen but it may have been caused when it was applied. Their customer service was extremely helpful and responded promptly. They shipped me a new one free of charge. I am completely satisfied with the product and Berco Kitchen's customer service. I recommend this product to all ice cream lovers. The price is not too much considering it will probably last a lifetime.

I have tried so many variations of ice cream scoops and this is truly the best. I have arthritis and it is difficult to scoop ice cream. Although this scoop doesn't look "fancy" it works incredibly well. You can scoop as much ice cream as you want in one scoop! It's easy to hold, easy to clean and and so easy to use! Thank you for making such a great product!

Initially this was a great ice cream scoop... Fast forward 4 months and less than 20 uses later and the coating has chipped. Thankfully the neon-purple chips stood out in my bowl of Cookies 'N Cream and were not ingested! Hoping the company I ordered from will replace or refund my order.

This scoop works great. It’s ergonomic in my hand so there’s no strain. You can run it under warm water for easier scooping but I haven’t found that necessary. I love the red color. Dishwasher safe - what’s not to love?!

Easy to hold? Unexpectedly smallEasy to clean? Not sure. It feels, after washing and re-washing, a little - greasy?That may just be the unusual and very good looking bright blue paint. Mine came with a small chip out of the edge of the scoop and some kind of irregularity or smudge seemingly baked right into the paint on the handle but no big deal. It looks great. I chose it because we needed an easy scoop and I was wary of those with the liquid in the handle for warming, making it easier to dip into hard frozen ice cream. This scoop was described also to provide easier dipping, but with the warming effect being conducted “naturally” from the heat of the scooper’s hand. We couldn’t really tell , but imagine the surprise when we checked the box. Instructions said something like this: if you still have trouble serving the ice cream, dip the scoop in warm water and try again. Well that worked :)
