Breaking Butcher Knife, 8" Fluted Blade, Polypropylene Handle

This 8" breaking knife is awesome. It is durable, holds an edge well, comfortable handle design, and priced right.

Seriously the best knife for carving, trimming and thin slicing. Super sharp, I wear a safety glove just to be safe, but it's awesome. Our local butcher recommended it because I make homemade jerky.

I'm a cooking knife type of guy. I have no, maybe a little problem with buying a $200 knife. I bought this as a test to see if i liked this style of knife. It was inexpensive and available from Amazon, (faster than pizza delivery). If i liked the style, i would pick up something better. I received knife and really love it. Its got a great edge, great shape, fits hand well, DW safe and inexpensive enough that i could slash through whatever i wanted without fear of chips ect. You can't go wrong with purchasing this knife. I can't justify trying to replace it with a more expensive knife.

Cuts great. Takes and holds an edge. Handle is ok. Blade is a little more flexible than I'd like. The knife I got has a very minor bend coming out of the handle. I'm a meat cutter. I use this knife every day. Other than being semi flexible and the minor bend it does cut nice. I immediately put a 15 degree edge on it and it holds the edge very well. Good value for an effective knife you won't care about hurting.

Let me start by stating that I have been a professional " Butcher or Meat Cutter" for almost 35 years. That being said, I did not have high expectations for this UltraSource Breaking Butcher Knife, 8" Fluted Blade. After using this (HARD) for the last 90 days. I am VERY IMPRESSED, the knife feels right in the hand, easily controlled, making precision cuts effortless. That is as long as you keep your knives sharp, I do and this knife quickly accepts a stone and can hold an edge the same duration as any high $$ knife I own. I will certainly buy another soon as my boss has seemed to have confused it as his own!? I would recommend this to any serious home chef or game hunter. If properly maintained could be past down generations. Don't let the price fool you it is a quality tool, not as thick, heavy duty or cumbersome as Victor$$$X but that is a welcome change for the Old Cutter. Buy one and enjoy! BAMF

I was leary because of price but turned out to be good product. I use it for cutting beef for jerky. It was sharp right from package. I have cut at least 12 4lb. roasts with it and sliced them into 1/8 inch strips. It is still sharp after all those cuts using just a steel. Haven't had to use a stone yet. I would buy again

This is an awesome knife, especially at this price point. I’m impressed at how well it maintains its edge. Has anyone had luck with finding a protective sheath for this? I use it primally in the field. I didn’t see a questions section on Amazon.

Worth every penny. Smooth, sharp, great handle..

My only disappointment was that I ordered it in blue to match the rest of my knives and it came in yellow Keeps a beautiful sharp edge. Easy to sharpen. Comfortable handle and balance. Kept a great edge while butchering multiple hogs. A great knife for processing meat too! Definitely a keeper in my butchering tools
