Some of the reviews complain about a leaky tap. It doesn’t leak if you screw it on properly as per the instructions. Water tastes great if you first run a full tank through the filters twice as per the instructions. Highly recommend.

We are never drinking tap water again! We found out the really taste of pure water, only then did we realise the amount of chemicals the water authority puts in your drinking water, and we live in North East England where the water quality is supposed to be the best in the country! Tap water in London has been through on average, 9 people by the time you drink it. The filters last forever as you just need to brush them under a running tap to clean them every 12 months, then you'll see the visual crap that's filter out! It's shocking. This is ideal for preppers like us. Very sturdy and well made, worth the price when on offer. Tip, buy 2 replacement filters just in case and DON'T handle them by bare hand!

I use 2 Berkeys to filter harvested water off-grid to make drinking water. Until I have reliable solar power to work a pump and draw water through a filter that way, the system I have works very well. It takes about 24 hrs for the Berkey to filter a full upper container. If you want to do what I do - please do a little research - the water needs treating with a little weak bleach prior to filtering (70ml / 1000 litres every couple of months). The result is lovely potable water. The filters are expensive, but you can give them a good scrub to extend their life. It's a shame that the taps are crappy. Buy a stainless steel replacement for £7. Berkeys are a step to self-sufficiency for me and I think they're great. Nobody paid me to say nice things - I only review products I think are really good.

Absolutely love this filter. Been wanting one for ages given the absolute rubbish they seem to be putting in our water and I don’t feel comfortable giving it to my kids anymore! It’s a little time consuming setting it all up but do it properly to get the most out of your filter. I’d also recommend getting the stainless steel tap and stand to make life easier for yourself. Be careful not to overfill because it will come out at the back! Can really taste the difference in the water and my kettle thanks me too 😂

My own Fault, read that it removes 99.99 percent but fails to mention doesn't remove Fluoride. Great Marketing trick then offers the fluoride ones separate that can't work along side the ones that it comes with results in paying a lot more and the resulting price there are brands that offer a better alternative. Lost total respect for this brand now and will look at buying one that actually removes everything harmful without being mislead.
