Works great
The whole system is responsive, no delays or timeouts. I have Hue integrated with Google Home and everything works great. My earlier IKEA setup had lag and other issues.

Misleading 10.4 watts bulb
The product information is misleading. The bulb is not 10.4 watts, it's 5.2 watts. The pack has 2 bulbs, total is 10.4 watts.

Warning - not suitable for bedside lamps - noise when 'off'
Great colours, easily configured, much better size and shape compared to the previous Hue GU10 model. However like some other reviewers here and many others elsewhere across the internet, I have found that these new (Bluetooth compatible) Hue bulbs make a high frequency oscillating squeaking / whistling / whining noise when 'off' (light off but bulb still powered up). For a product priced at a premium this is unacceptable. The noise probably wouldn't be audible in a noisy room or from a few metres away in a quiet room, or if you have poor hearing. But for bedroom lamps close by it is infuriating and not good for health!(Update August 2020 - the noise problem was eventually acknowledged by Hue, who confirmed they were working on a hardware revision for this, they later released a firmware update to reduce the noise levels, this was sufficient for some but not for all. They recently started shipping the "no noise" bulbs and I can confirm that my replacements are much better - only the faintest of noises now and that's with ears up to the bulb, eg I cannot hear the noise from 1 metre away in a quiet room. Which stock you'll receive when ordering is unclear, as the model number, packaging and barcode is still the same)

Buyer be aware
My home is kitted out with collectively 42 Hue lights, with 23 of them being Hue Colour Ambience GU10, nine of which are these from this seller, and 14 from the official Hue website.Unfortunately the nine from this seller on Amazon are the older generation that can not update to the latest software and therefore don’t have the latest features such as Dynamic Scenes. Particularly frustrating as 2/3 of my lights transition in colour, whilst these 9 stay static. The problem is exasperated in that I only realised this 2 weeks after installation and have since disposed of all the packaging and cannot return. If you are looking for the basic features of Phillips Hue, then these will do you just fine. But they are not future proofed, and you may find it prudent to pay a few extra pounds and get the latest version of the bulbs off the Phillips Hue website.

Its all been said already. Awfullly expensive but excellent quality.
Folks..... no doubt about it. Phillips makes GOOD stuff. I have 6 of these GU10's in use and use them with my Hue Bridge. As with so many things in the smart home arena... most of us tend to stick with the kit/infrastructure we already have and I am no exception. These bulbs, in addition to all other bulbs (lights) work fine. As mentioned.... am not much into Bluetooth, but use them with the bridge. the convenience to have Alexa handle them for me is a key factor. Granted.... Alexa (She whose name must not be spoken in vain) can at times be temperamental with anything under her control, but as a Lady.... you can expect that from her. Phillips....you could double your market share IF you set a more reasonable price. As to the bulbs themselves? Bridge INSTANTLY found them, as well as ALL FOR HUE, a brilliant third part app which is my main control app. They do what they should do and do it well. I've two more to buy and then the GU10's have all been replaced with these. The bridge does the work for me and uses just ONE single IP address on your router. If you are kitting out the whole house, over time, I would suggest to invest in the bridge to control the lot. One advantage of sticking with the same make (Phillips in this case) is that All the firmware in the bulbs can be updated via the Hub. But that only works with the Phillips bulbs. Remember what your Mum told you ? The joy of the low price is soon forgotten, but the misery of poor quality lingers on forever.Albert.Albert

New generation with BLuetooth
Firstly so many are confused why the new generation are given a G efficiency for 4.7w when previous one an A for 5.2w. The answer is nothing to do with the bulbs the governemnt changed the system. So we are using a new rating scale where a G is not the same as an old A Rating (they did this to remove A+++ ratings etc.Now the useful stuff these are the same as the previous generation (gen 2) which are smaller than the original gen 1 bulbs these are now the sameSize as standard gu10 lamps. The brightness and colours of these are the same as previous gen 2 bulbs. Except they have added Bluetooth ( just as well - see later). The colours of these lamps is not full RGB as with Philips they always have some element of white as well for more naturalColours meaning red is more pink, blue is more aqua etc. that said for realRooms it’s pleasant. The bulbs arrive with older firmware which should be able to update in Hue app but forSome reason it says up toDate even when it’s not. Go to the hue Bluetooth app it says they need updating andAs bluetooth is far faster than digneThe update takes 3Minutes a bulb instead of 50 minutes using Zigbee. Once bulbs were update in Bluetooth it was easy to remove them fromThe hub and re add themWhere they then becameUsable in the candle and fireplace effects.Buy now whilstReduced
