Great for aging wine

I buy alkaline water from the PHountain chain. I had purchased eight bottles from them in the past, best way to store alkaline PH balanced water. Being glass you always have to be careful of them breaking and they lasted for years but I did break 2 in that time. They had their logo on it and… but now just a plain glass 1 gallon jug with a cap is $20.00 for members. So I went on Amazon and found this unbelievable deal! Reading reviews and seeing that they came broken and were thin!!! I was concerned but placed the order anyway. Mine came in perfect condition and couldn’t be happier with them. Compared to my original bottles, these are better and much better than the new ones my PHountain branch sells! The awesome caps that came in the bundle made this deal even sweeter. I am completely happy with the products, cap and bottle and highly recommend them to anyone!

When I received these 2 were broken. But I don't believe it was the companies fault. So I did not return them. Instead I ordered 4 more. I needed them for a wedding. I think they are perfect for what I needed them for.

They came with not lids. Good size and seems to be of good quality abd durable. I bought these for water not brewing. The cost for the lids was expensive.

I'm not sure what most people do with 1 gal glass jugs, but storage of something is likely. Having a lid to prevent what is inside staying there, possibly freshness, OR preventing something from the outside entering, say insects, is top on the list of good ideas. I apparently, made a mistake thinking lids were included. SO, if you are thinking of using these wonderful glass jugs for storage of let's say apple juice, homemade beer or anything other than air, I suggest you find some with lids! Now the search for lids begins. I hope the opening is something standard in size? UPDATE: Sorry, I did not see the option for ordering with lids. My bad and I have ordered lids separately.

Bought the set of eight for something like $60. Very good deal! The first shipment arrived broken and I didn’t even open it, just went back on the truck. I had the replacement set shipped to Whole Foods for pickup and every bottle was in perfect shape. Didn’t come with lids but I read previous reviews and had already ordered a set of nice black tops that fit perfectly. These gallon jugs are really nice, the company refunded my first broken set immediately, and the replacement set arrived quickly and intact. Will now be able to store my new distiller water in non-leeching bottles the way God intended.

The jugs are far to thin and generic and in my opinion. They are not the standard glass jugs you might expect. I do not anticipate them to last very long as the glass is so very thin. One bump against another jug and I am sure the jugs will break so they will require extra care. It would be cheaper to buy the generic wine jugs at the store and pour out the wine. I am so disappointed as I had wanted to order more for water storage and transport. However, the poor quality means I just wasted my time and money. I feel as if the company is producing the thin jugs to cut costs which puts you the customer in a position as you will eventually have to replace them due to the poor quality.
