built very well. very nice. i popped in on my head and started smiling ear to ear. it is a real one. not thin material like a cheepy. this thing is very legit. buy it and you will be warm! It looks great on me too. I'm a guy. = buy buy buy. The ear flaps can be down or up. when down, the back of the hat comes down over your nape of neck. very cool design. when ear flaps go up, the nape part flips up and blends in with the back of the hat. the strings at the bottom of the ear flaps are tied into a bow and disappear into the beautiful fur. you can cut the strings shorter to your liking. ;-) Buy one and you will NOT be disappointed! product is black rabbit fur. the sizing is accurate. i got an XL for my 23.5 inch head. i wrapped a belt around my head and found the largest circumference. then layed down belt to a tape measure. got inches. typed in inches into google which gave back centimeters. the size chart has inches and centimeters on it to make your life easier. i just wanted to see if both CM and inches would both point to the XL hat. They did. =) Hat is from china, but looks like its from russia.

This is a wonderful hat. I have had a few fur Russian hats in my day, but this is certainly the best. The rabbit fur on here is velvety soft, whenever I wear this around campus people ask to pet my head, it's like wearing a manly bunny rabbit. It's well sown together, and there has been nearly no shedding that is common with inferior fur hats. This thing is the warmest hat I have ever owned, I can substitute wearing this hat for a coat in about ten degree weather.It should be known though that this hat is not as huge as other Russian hats are in terms of how big the brow is. I got the extra large, and that seems to be the right size for just about everyone.

Living the the northern woods I need a lot of very warm gear and I do not like faux furs, they are itchy to me. (I use 100 percent wool with no problems!) So I went searching on Amazon for a new hat that could stand up to the cold winter. Let me say that I love this hat! Talk about warm and so very soft.There is one con to it, which is why I dropped down to 4 stars, but it is definitely not a deal killer and the hat is still worth every penny.The con:The hat is pretty stiff overall at first. I purchased two of these and by working with it my husband has gotten his down to being pretty soft and pliable. Mine, on the other hand, is still stiff and because of this, when I go out it will often push itself down over my eyes in the front a little bit.Rest assured this is not a size problem as I measured my head before purchased. I believe the back part of the hat is what is responsible for my issue. I am hopeful that the back portion will begin to soften and not resist the coat of my collar so much.

I bought this 6 days before Christmas as a gift for my guy (who asked for something like this at the last minute). With my Prime account, it arrived in plenty of time for Christmas. He LOVES it! Beautiful fur. It looks good with the flaps down or tied up. Solid black fur that lays "flatter" than a fox pelt. It is warm, soft, gorgeous and well made. He has a large head (Size 8) and the size options are great. I tried it on and you can bet I will be wearing it also - even though it is too big for me :)

I love it.. I have two in different colors . It's Hot !!, it is not something you want to wear in temps above 40F. Show up to that football game or Spring Soccer in this baby and really turn some heads. PETA lovers beware, there is no substitute for the real deal.. Of course I view it as renewable raw materials in fashion.

These tend to run small, so I ordered a large. Really, really wonderful hat. Wish I had listened years earlier and gotten one, would have saved me some cold walks to the car after work with the wind howling around my head and down my neck. When it's eight degrees out and twenty five mile an hour winds, I could care less if I look slightly silly. Plan to put a Russian KGB pin on the front ;) Fast shipping, too. Do your ears a favor and get one.

Sooooooo, I measured my head as suggested and to my surprise, it's BIG.....OMG, it's really B-I-G!!! I ordered the hat to fit my BIG head and thankfully it fits me great! I'm very glad I took the time to measure it otherwise I might have picked out a smaller, more normal hat size. For all these years I've been carrying a pumpkin around on my thick neck and I really never knew just how humongous it is. Now I know. ...and I now have a great hat to keep it warm!!!

Even though my hat is slightly larger than I wanted it to be, I still love this hat. This gets me through every winter in Syracuse, NY. Nothing cold gets inside of this. I'm glad I purchased this hat. I've had it for about 3 years now and it's still in good condition.
