Perfect for Leica D-lux 8
Panasonic makes the batteries for the Leica D-lux 8. Fits perfect, works perfect. Why pay twice the price to get the Leica name printed on a battery???

Always buy the original
I learned the hard way not to buy a "compatible" battery for an item. This battery is for a point-and-shoot digital camera, and I had previously bought two Duracell batteries, which not only didn't last but started to bulge to the point where you couldn't get them out of the camera! I invested in the original Lumix Panasonic battery to be sure I wouldn't have this problem again. Always get the original.

Authentic Panasonic product, appears new, holds a charge.
Received an authentic Panasonic product in packaging, holds a charge, appears new ... used to power a Lumix DC-ZS70 camera w 700mm zoom and 20.1mp sensor. Should be good for about 360+ regular pix per charge, expect less if you use features a lot, or lots of on-and-off. In other words, if you buy this or a comparable camera, you need a back-up battery. The battery takes quite a while to charge so you need a back-up battery anyway. Costs more than but is highly preferred over aftermarket brands because it is compatible with Panasonic charger and accessories, and any problems with it will not void your camera warranty.
