Very fun to watch and play with, would recommend
I bought this for my nephew and he loved it! This is safe to use, it has a quiet humming noise when it’s on. Does require batteries, good quality. Good for all ages

Great fun for the entire family!
At first I was quite skeptical about this item considering the price, size (3 inch), and reviews - I was initially looking for one that my 5 year old daughter could really enjoy and be fascinated by. However, when the item arrived, I was quite pleasantly surprised. The plasma ball base is made of plastic, while the globe appears to be glass. It can be either plugged in (USB) or powered by 4 AAA batteries. No matter how you choose to have it powered, it works very well - however being plugged in shows the most plasma activity. For the price that I got it at, $9.99, you honestly can't beat the value and entertainment for that price. There is a one year warranty on it, but you could extend it for another year by registering it at theefun website which we did. Overall, the value is well worth the small price. In fact, I think I play with it more than what my daughter does!

Strange to say this was a big hit for stocking stuffer. The kids loved it.

This is cool and brings back many memories
When I was a kid, I used to see these (larger) but they were very cool and I always wanted one but they were so expensive. This is a nice compromise because it is smaller, less expensive and cool. The only issue that I have is that I wish it was a bit larger but it's not a deal breaker. This is nice as it runs off batteries or via USB cable. I got this for my office and it's very nice. It does feel a little light and I worry it could knock over but it's still worth it and I have had a blast showing it to my son. Pros: Cool Portable Cons: Wish it was a little cheaper Overall, recommended

Poor Mans Plasma Electrode
If take out all the internal parts, this worked as plasma electrode using real dynamic double resonant solid state tesla coil as power supply with square wave frequencies. Big electric field bubble around 3 feet. Works for “Poor Mans Rife”

It's Alive!!
As many of my former business associates can attest, I prefer to conduct my Zoom meetings from a darkened room, illuminated only by the light of my iMac screen and this wee USB desktop plasma ball. I thought I was fulfilling a childhood dream of looking like an all-knowing, B-movie mad scientist. But really I was fulfilling an adult nightmare of confusing and alienating employers and coworkers who failed to appreciate my minimalistic business hours cosplay. Unemployment sucks. But when I'm feeling really low, all I have to do to cheer myself up is plug in my pint-sized plasma ball and stare into the swirling purple electromagnetic maelstrom until my retinas begin to burn.
