Q: Does anyone know if the pic guard is removable?

You could remove it. However I think it would destroy it. It's obviously glued on so who knows what damage might occur to the body. Then the volume and tone knobs are a part of it so you'll lose them as well as the pickups. You could wiggle it out under the strings with little effort. So yeah, it can be removed. At what cost would be the question.

The guitar itself is 7" tall. A full size electric guitar is usually 39". 39 divided by 7 is just over 5.5 so it is slightly under 1/6th scale.
