Because of other reviews I purchased this and I love it. I leave the main cradle in the kitchen because I am listening to music to make food. But it's nice to be able to take this speaker by this silicone case to the master bedroom so I can have music when I change the bed or clean up in the bedroom. It's very handy to have without spending an additional 100 dollars for the larger speaker. It does cover up the round hole and I don't like that about the silicone case but the mini usb port is open so you can charge the speaker while it sits in the cradle. I always leave the silicone case on. You have to charge the speaker with the original cable while it's on the bose cradle otherwise you won't be able to listen long when you take the speaker to another room. I did purchase an additional cradle for the master bedroom so it is charging while I listen but you probably don't need it. I am not a fan of the cradle designed for this speaker. It is a poor design for a 200 dollar speaker. Make sure you purchase a 2 usb port adaptor so you can charge your speaker and charge with the bose cradle at the same time because it doesn't come with the speaker. Another way Bose saves money at the purchaser's expense. But get this silicone case because it is so convenient to carry your speaker from one room to another or outside. You'll be glad you have it. Not sure how durable it is but I love it.

I didn't realize that I purchased the Bose without a handle. So wanted something to protect it and a handle to carry it around from room to room. This seems to work well. Have only had it for a little over a week, so that's why I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5. I did see one review that said the handle broke the first day. The case does not interfere with the sound at all, which is a big plus. It is also easy to install, I didn't have any trouble at all. I have no idea how long this will last, but for the price, it's a good investment to protect the Bose and be able to carry it around.
