I use these as a bartender. Keep my feet dry from outside leaks. Obviously if you have sweaty feet it’ll stay in there but no worse than normal socks. Very comfy too.

I am a women and wear a size 8 shoe. I bought the size large, though I meant to buy a size medium. I recently bought these socks because I am going on a hiking trip up to Boundary Waters and it involves canoeing and portaging, which involves walking in water. I wanted something that could cushion my feet to prevent blisters when we are hiking, and also keep my feet comfortable and dry. I had asked a question before buying to see if these were good for hiking, and the only person who answered had written a 1 star review for the socks saying they were worthless. The other reviews seemed good, so I decided to give them a try anyway. I'm so glad I did! Like I said, I ordered a size too large than I should have, but I decided to take them on a practice hike anyway. My friends and I went to a local state park and hiked for about 3 hours, covering over 4.5 miles up and down hills, and also trudging a LOT through creeks and shallow rivers. I have to say, I was really impressed by the socks. They kept my feet dry and comfortable, and I didn't develop a SINGLE blister. The day high was about 85 degrees, and the socks weren't too hot for the hike. The socks also covered my lower legs/ankles well, making it easy to walk through the brush. However, if you step in water that goes above the sock level, water WILL get in the sock, and once it's in, it can't really get out. However, my feet were still comfortable and I didn't even know there was water in the sock until our hike was over. I would recommend these socks! I am actually going to order a longer pair in the correct size, but I'm keeping these ones to give to my fiance (who is a size 12). Overall, good product!

I don't usually write reviews, and since I don't usually write reviews...I don't really know how to write an actual review! So this will be a review, but contained within a story: So I just went on a fishing trip off the coast of Port Aransas and an enormous oil tanker, along with three tug boats decided to grace our little bait boat with its presence. What started out as calm, gentle, ocean waves that barely nudged us, suddenly became a roiling, vomit inducing series of waves (one of my boys couldn't handle it and started yakking at the stern) and our boat was getting splashed and started taking on water. I was wearing a water proof jacket, and water resistant pants, but my shoes were anything but. They had good rubber grips which helps avoid slipping, but they were definitely not gonna do well if soaked in water. But here's the thing...not once did I feel my feet getting wet. Not once did I even consider how these waves, the water, and the lack of water proof shoes was going to wreck my day because I HAD THESE SOCKS ON AND THEY ARE FREAKING MAGICAL. My shoes were soaked through and through, but these glorious socks remained untouched and uber dry the entire 4 hours we were on the water. They are simply fantastic, and you should buy them.

I took these socks on a backpacking trip that involved snow, mud, and water crossings. The first day, I wore my darn tough socks and it got drenched and muddy. I was afraid these socks would give me blisters as I had 15 miles left on my hike. They did better than I had hoped. I didn’t get blisters or hot spots. They kept my toes warm and dry. Although they did get a little wet on day 2, I wore them on day 3 and they dried up while wearing them. I will definitely bring these on future trips that require mud and water crossings. My darn tough socks were still wet from day 1 while these were dry.

These are great! My hiking shoes have stopped being fully waterproof, even though I tried to treat them with a waterproofing spray. On really wet or dewy mornings, these socks have solved my problem! They make my shoes a little tight, but it’s worth it not to have wet feet.

I take my doberman to a sometimes swampy dog park early each morning before the sun rises. These socks do the trick! They truely keep the moisture out. I have size 11 feet with a high instep and the large size fits well. My tennis shoes fit over them with no problem. I used them each morning for a week before hand washing. Expensive but high quality.

Maybe water resistant? To be completely honest wasnt expecting them to be waterproof. Took these into the polar plunge on a 11°F day, got back to change and my feet were soaking wet... did drop some water on them a few days before the jump and they indeed kept my feet dry, they may be okay for a few puddles or a bit of rain but as for a fully submerged aspect, they do not work.

Took one pair of these on the Overland track in Tasmania as an experiment. Very impressed. Snow, water and mud every day on the track. Shoes were saturated but feet were relatively dry. Inner toe socks worn separately underneath these socks were not completely dry, but dry enough to not leave a wet footprint on dry floor after a hard day of hiking through deep water and mud. Wore them every day for a week with no issues. Dried inside and out every night. Would definitely recommend. Good value.

I am always a bit skeptical about "waterproof" gear but DexShell delivers! I tested the breathable, over-the-ankle socks just after an atmospheric river hit the Pacific Northwest. So trails became creeks 3-4" deep and creeks became rivers 8-10" deep! I felt the cold over the water and my shoes felt squishy as they filled up with water and then drained. The socks didn't become uncomfortable either, just kept my feet dry and warm the whole time. My feet were dry at the end of a very wet four hours out. Didn't even need to towel dry them to put on my fresh socks back at the vehicle! Thanks DexShell!!

I wanted some waterproof socks to wear under socks when riding my motorbikes. It doesn’t matter how good your socks or boots are, the cold and wet always find a way in! I’ve just returned from a tour of Europe on my bike and these socks were a game changer. The material was comfortable and felt pretty normal and I absolutely felt toastie and completely dry! Excellent product and well worth the money
