Replacement Lens

Rather then buy the overpriced plastic mounts from better Beamer I bought this. I then made my own side arms and it works great!

I am a bird photographer and use this product 2-6 times per week. I keep the Better Beamer attached to my camera all the time and use it about 60% of the time. Extremely useful for backlit subjects and where light is somewhat dim. I use it on manual camera mode and manual ISO, then under-light subject by ~2 stops, letting the flash regulate the light by its flash duration. Great for hummingbirds in the early morning and evening ... it freezes the wings and other motion.The down-side is the bulk of the device and that it is fragile. I catch and tear the plastic lens on brush, even though I carry the camera toward my back. Also,on hot days the glue holding the Velcro to the lens softens and tears off. I have solved this by using small pinch-type paper clips at the four corners. This does not significantly affect the light. Despite these defects, it is very useful!!!!Parrot photo was taken well after sunset at 100 ft.

A very handy product that will allow you to replace a scratched or otherwise damaged Fresnel lens on your Better Beamer.I ended up getting two of them, one for a backup. Great value.Good, prompt service from Visual Echoes as well.

Very pleased to find that a replacement lens is available for my Better Beamer - the replacement works perfectly. My last lens was damaged and I thought I might have to buy a new Better Beamer

These never seem to hold up well, especially for the price. I've been through quite a few as the velcro always seems to come off.

These always work well , just wish they were made a little more durable. I always like to have a couple of extras in my photo gear.

This replacement lens works fine with my Better Beamer. The only reason for a 4 rating is that these crack over time. I have had to replace my lens twice over the years. They work well but travel is rough on the plastic so cracks do begin to appear over time. They are still usable until the cracks stretch across the entire lens.
