They're compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL), just like similar light bulbs that do not admit the same wide spectrum. All CFLs contain mercury.

Q: Are these made in the usa? the last cfls i bought were foreign manufactured and ended up turning to a permanent pink color after 8 months

Most bulbs of any kind are made in China including these. I’ve used these for years with no problems.

Q: Can these be used with the StudioPro Fovitek softbox lighting kit?

Unfortunately I returned the light bulb Bcz it’s not enough light for shooting items. I don’t know what kind of items will you take a photo. I repurchased LED light bulb.
