This backpack is so much better for travel than a regular backpack. I love that it opens like a suitcase and there is room on both sides for clothes and/or shoes. It makes it so much easier to see and find the things you brought. I’ve used it for overnight and weekend trips this winter. I am on the small size so my clothes don’t take up a ton of space but I was able to fit Chelsea style boots and a pair of sneakers along with jeans and a fleece pullover, dress pants, 2 sweaters, a workout outfit, pajamas, and a small makeup bag on the inside of the bag. I stuffed socks etc inside the sneakers and shoes. I was able to fit a full quart sized ziplock in the outside front pocket and didn’t use the smaller front pocket. My surface pro and some cords for nicely in the laptop section. I probably could have stuffed leggings and a tee shirt in as I still had a little room left in the bag. I really like the bag. It’s comfortable to carry on my small frame too. I’ve got lots of compliments on it. It has a trolley strap which will come in handy on a longer trip. Update after taking it on a flight where I was standby and knew I’d be the last to get on the flight. I was given and exit row seat and the back was not completely full but it did NOT fit under the middle seat. Typically bags stick out a bit and that would be fine but I would have had to really made sure it was only about 2/3 full for it to go under the seat in any direction. I still love the bag. It’s comfortable to carry and love the way it packs for when you need to live out of your suitcase for a few days. It met the measurement requirements for under the seat on a large delta plane (3 and 3 seat configuration) but I couldn’t stuff it under the seat.

And not just for the money compared to the other "C" branded bagSure it's half the price, the same size, very nice water repellent materials and to me the zippers not only feel great but have held up well so far. ( the sippers also include places for locks... nice...)I pack it out with packing cubes I have three that fit perfectly and it holds my 3-1-1 bag along with a travel electronics kit/bag ( extra phone mostly set up as fancy ipod/media device or emergency phone should my daily driver die, magsafe battery, buds, cables etc )In this bag I carry, Pj's, walking sandals, flip flops, easily can get 6 T's a pair of shorts, a pair of pants, extra socks and undies with room for my Ipad, travel docs, and some nice hidden rear pockets.A great value in a comfortable to wear travel backpack ! ( & perfect augment to my rolling bag even with it's large handle the luggage passthrough on the back works like a champ ! )Bonus it fits under seat with room to spare or behind my knees after take off. ( allowing easy access to necessities!

Dope bag

This is the perfect travel bag. It is durable (quality materials and strong zippers) and sizeable, but you never have to worry about whether it will fit on the plane. Would highly recommend for short and long trips. My fiance has used his for over a year with no issues (despite always packing it quite full) and I'm excited to have my own now as well. The company is also highly responsive and helpful.

Just took this as my personal item on a 12 day trip along with a small roller bag. It does fit under the seat, and Southwest didn't give it a second glance.Pros: It is lightweight. Its configuration allows it to hold a lot of stuff, more than I can fit in a 28L day pack. The zipped inner compartments keep everything in place. The straps are wide and comfortable. The top front external access pocket is generously sized for toiletry kit, glasses, etc. The laptop pocket is easy to access and properly protective without taking up too much space in the bag. And it's supposed to be a good bag for bad weather, although that didn't apply on my trip.Cons: The so-called water bottle pocket is tight and shallow, but it did stretch out a bit with use, to be able to hold a small slim Nalgene. A bigger, deeper pocket would be a lot better. Even a thin waist strap would help with load distribution and keeping the pack in place if you had to run. A waist strap that could be tucked out of the way would be ideal. There are rough edges of trim on the underside of the main top grab handle. Not a huge deal, because the handle is sturdy, but it would be nicer if it were properly finished. And I see that several people have complained about failed stitching. So far so good with mine, and I did abuse it.The design of this bag isn't ideal for a personal item if you are going to want to get stuff out of it during the flight. Only the external top pocket, an internal one on the other side, and the laptop pocket are easily accessible. Not a problem if you pack correctly (which I did on the way home, having failed on the outbound trip).One more comment - the colors are a bit gloomy. If they'd had a bright colored one with a light colored interior, I'd have bought it.Overall it's a good bag, worked well on this trip and will be using it again soon.

The bag fits under the plane seat. It is comfortable to carry. Enough storage space for a long weekend trip…depending on what you wear each day. Protective area for the laptop. Nice color.
