what is the maximum weight for chair

The whole reason I ordered this bench over others was because of the 300 lbs rating. I recently tore my Achilles during a soccer match and bought this in advance of my surgery (sadly, I've already gone through this whole process with the other leg, at a different soccer match, 4 years ago). I'm 6' and 260-270 lbs, depending on the alignment of the moon and how easily I can obtain tacos. Just used this bench for the 4th time, today, and had a whole leg bend out from under me. Fortunately I still had my bad leg outside of the tub and I was able to (painfully) half-grab the edge of the tub with the inside of my knee. My partner had to help me get out of the whole situation (I pity her lower back). So, to answer your question, the maximum weight is definitely less than 270lbs.

instructions say use thumb screws. but none are in the box! does it come with thumb screws?

mine came with screws that had large plastic wing's (for want of a better word)... making it very easy on the fingers to screw the legs into tje seat. I'm very pleased with the product so far!

Is there a warranty on this product? I purchased this product 8 months ago for my mother-in-law, who only weighs 138lbs. It will no longer hold her.

Did u send n warranty card? I don't think I got one, app 30 days after my purchase, over Amazon return, my chair legs did what they wanted? Here, there, everywhere, said 300lbs, I'm 246. Very unsafe! Can't return mine, but gosh feels so good, to sit, when u can't get n tub! Feel 4 ur mom. Been looking 4 another that is smart enough 4 am shower! Can't afford new one yet, thinking of suing co. Legs just damn buckled, son keeps tightening, 1/2 way thru shower,legs getting ready to go! Hate it. Gl

Can these stools be used with fiberglass tubs?

I use mine in a large walk-in shower. It has a fiberglass pan. So I am assuming it will work in your bathtub. However, caution as the chair legs spread out. If it just fits in your curved tub, you may have a problem with bench sitting flat.
